friendly reminder that:
>mothership zeta is canon
>aliens starting the great war is canon
>alien invasions are canon
>ancient alien civilizations buried earth are canon
>a man put an ancient alien artifact on his head which turned him immortal and insane and gave him telekinesis and drinking his blood also makes people immortal. this is all canon.
>fallout new vegas and tactics are not canon
because bethesda were supremely assravaged at the fact that obsidian managed to kick the shit out of fo3 with a fraction of development costs, time and with an infinitely smaller team. so they pretend it just doesn't exist, or is "alternate universe" fallout
and where is this from? don't give me some bullshit 3rd party site like gamepedia. unless it's a straight up confirmation from bethesda that NV is canon (which its not) then fuck off. fo4 SPECIFICALLY didn't mention a FUCKING THING from new vegas SPECIFICALLY because IT'S NOT CANON.
>a man put an ancient alien artifact on his head which turned him immortal
I hate to sound like a bethdrone here but to compare the development between fo3 and NV is asinine, fallout new vegas for all intents and purposes is a glorified fallout 3 mod
>>a man put an ancient alien artifact on his head which turned him immortal and insane and gave him telekinesis and drinking his blood also makes people immortal. this is all canon.
Fallout 2 has the following:
Intelligent death-claws that are capable of speech.
Intelligent talking mole-rats.
A crashed landing shuttle from Star Trek surrounded by dead redshirts.
Multiple encounters lifted directly from Monty Python and the Holy Grail and The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
A portal that allows you to travel back in time and cause the water chip to break in vault 13, setting off the events of the previous game.
Depressing. Even more so when Obsidian confirmed that they're not making an expansion for FO4 like they did with NV.
my point is that saying they would be "assravaged" over obsidian building a "better game" when i guarantee you bethesda made more money off new vegas than obsidian did, is a little bit braindead.
