It's been four years since Source Filmmaker was released, besides CS:GO and Dota 2:Reborn was it the best thing Valve has done

SFM is pretty good, but it's got some minor issues that always bug me.
It's pretty user-unfriendly, and doing some things feels way more convoluted than it really needs to be. For example, material overrides are super fuckin' handy, but always kind of annoying to use.

Because blender etc are hard to get it to render good. Everything looks plasticy unless you know what you're doing. Since most people don't know what they're doing, it looks like shit.
SFM makes it easy to make good looking porn. It's easy, that's it.
I tried using it with Dota models, but found it a pain in the ass because they were essentially particle effects of the heroes and not the actual ragdolls or whatever they're called.
It was incredibly hard to pose and move them, but then again this was back when it first came out so it may have been improved since then.
it's actually strange thinking about how 50 years from now, nobody will remember valve, gaben, or hl2 but will know what SFM is and will still be using it
I just can't think of a way that we can go back now. Any idiot can find any model and make any porn. It's amazing.
