I just spent the last week playing both Zero Escape games and both Danganronpa games nonstop. I would wake up, play them, go to bed, and repeat. Are there any other VNs like them, most stuff I've played is garbage eroges or have slow as dirt pacing. Are the Danganronpa spinoffs any good?
I'm interested in this as well; I played all the games you mentioned and then got Steins Gate and I'm finding it so gruellingly long that I don't know if I can finish it. The story's good but it lacks the place and drive of the Chunsoft VNs I've played.
I enjoyed Danganronpa: Another Episode. Even though it's a shooter rather than a VN it's a good way to waste a day or two and gives you some decent backstory to the universe.
Apart from that, quality VNs are severely lacking, unfortunately.

Ever17 is most similar
Ghost Trick is basically a VN though its concept is very different, but only idiots don't like it

Seconding Ghost Trick, it was fucking awesome. If you haven't played it, avoid all spoilers like the goddamn plague tho.

Great game.
Ace Attorney
Hotel Dusk is similar. It takes some time to get into, though. Steins Gate as well. With both of them you'll probably be bored as fuck for a while but eventually things'll click.
Fucking neets. I wish I could play any game like that these days. God damn jobs.

You know it's the holidays right? All college students are off, most offices were closed this week as well.
Teachers, lawyers, students, engineers, accoutants, secretaries; these are all people who most likely had all of last week to themselves.
