Whats everyone map their stick buttons to? Always did p-s-hs on top and k-blank-d on bottom. Kinda like all punches on top and kicks bottom (dust is sweep, so associate eith kicks). Recently saw actual button mappings for revelator arcade and they have k-s-hs on top instead.

Kick on bottom not only makes more intuitive sense to me (P, S and HS are all upper body actions) but you need to spam punch more and my index finger is way better at that than my thumb.
Dust on pinky so I can have every finger mostly stationary. My stick's layout also follows the curve of my hand so it's very comfortable.

The only drawback really is that arcades don't support this layout but considering my country doesn't even have arcades this is a non-issue.

Using a controller and I keep flip flopping between the d-pad and the analog stick. The stick is better for doing circle inputs and the d-pad is better for controlling dashing/air dashing for me, but I'm always fumbling all over the place while trying to use both. I only use the d-pad, I find it much easier for inputs too. It's a PS3 controller so it might depend on what kind of d-pad your controller has.

This. Leo is the character that teaches you how to IB and then hes free. Online is a different issue obviously because they IBing/Blocking him becomes more of a issue because of delay depending on the connection that can make any character a issue but just more so Leo's general plan.

That's a difficult question.
Akuma is a shoto and thus ky and sol are more like him insofar as they have screen travelling projectiles and dp reversals, but that's about where the similarities end.
But chipp and millia are also like him such that they have low health and rely on crazy vortex, but play less like a shoto.
Just some observations from a scrub, take it as you may.

EVO attendee here.
I got special privilege to sit in the front and still had to fight for a decent seat as the smashfaggots were too busy looking at their 3DS for 8 hours to give a shit about GG.
As soon as Melee Top 8 ended they all up and left so that was nice. But GG Top 8 still left a bad taste in my mouth for them.
Still, at least they're semi tolerable compared to Trash4 players.
