Are you faggots ready?
This issue in particular would make more sense if you watched AoStH
Sorry for the delay, here's more sanic.
There's no hope for white people. Ponies, social justice and this: a bland, corporate mascot designed by mediocre, middle-aged American marketing execs pandering to imagined spoiled, suburban white, cunt kids, somehow still fascinates the useless, autistic masses who by rights should've been safely aborted before birth to spare us the misery of their existence. THERE'S *NOTHING* HERE YOU FUCKING RETARDS!
And now, I present to you Metal Sonic mugging a jew.
Sonic sure knows how to get his way with the ladies.
I really hope they figure out a way to bring back Scourge. There is no way Penders could have any ownership over him since he was literally just Sonic with a leather jacket before Ian came along.
Archie's legal team just doesn't have the balls.
Their lack of balls is also the reason all the reprint series have been cancelled and Sonic reprints was one of Archie's biggest bread winners.
>Also, that boss from Sonic 2 GG
Oh, that thing was a fucking nightmare unless you had your hands on a Gamegear all the time.
How the fuck was I supposed to know that the boss gets hurt by the steel balls! I just kept thinking I was supposed to hit it when the jaws were open!
Hot damn, Amy must have jizzed a gallon here.
>Archie's legal team just doesn't have the balls.
It's called just putting him in the comic anyway because Fuck you, Penders can't do shit about it! Just give him a new backstory that retcons Evil Sonic.
Seeing as though they managed to make Sonic Boom decent, anything is possible.
>Implying there would be anything for Penders to try.
There is no case for him to make. The character's name was Evil Sonic. What could he possibly do in court to copyright that to himself?
Well, maybe something will turn out in the end.
I won't say it's for the best, especially since I started to like a lot of those new characters, but you can only make due with what you've got.
Better tone down on the gambling, espio.
Also, 'sup chip.
Sally or Blaze.
I'd love to see what Ian would do with Elise, honestly, but 2006 seems to be cursed ground to even think about.
If Penders even tries to because of Archie doing anything, SEGA pulls the plug. SEGA was sick and tired of that shit going on and wants nothing like it again. Sometimes it's best to play it safe than shoot yourself in the head.
Didn't Archie Sonic get in trouble for showing Sonic crying? I'm sure capcom doesn't give any fucks but it lead to the Pendering for Sonic.
Also, Big the Cat being used for stories? Now I'm intrigued.
Honey a best
Breezie a baller
kind of expecting someone to say "You're ten years too early!"
They did. Because it didn't show him as cool. He can tear up but no major water works.
Ian made big kinda useful
If Sega even gave a shit. Pender's copyright would probably mean nothing. They're not going to take money out of their bank for characters that aren't in the main series and didn't create.
Antoine. They got married before the reboot and have been ever since
while Sega is dumb, I think they're more upset at the fact that archie fucked up such an easy take down.
Penders is probably broke as shit spending all his cash on Lara-su Chronicles commissions and merchandise. I sincerely doubt he could afford the legal fees to anything now. I still have hope Ian will find a way to bring back Scourge, in one form or another.
>270 references the box art of Marvel vs Capcom
Why is this comic staff so based
M. Sonic browses /pol/ inbetween flights.
And guess who owns the temples...
From what i've heard from a few threads on /co/ they could have gotten Ken to sign a new one but then they'd have to do that for everyone. There was something about the Sabrina comic that made them decide not to.
>Penders is probably broke as shit spending all his cash on Lara-su Chronicles commissions and merchandise.
I still remember what that one anon posted about when he saw ken at a convention
>Egg Hawk and Egg Albatross
Ian, you're awesome.
Doesn't matter. Penders has said he'll fight Archie if they do ANYTHING even remotely like something he did. And according to him he created the idea for evil Sonic twins and alternate dimensions in the comic. And if he acts, SEGA pulls the plug. They don't care what it's about, one sniff of a stinky situation and everything's out the window.
The whole problem boils down to this.
Ken could come sue Archie because his pinky toe hurts.
Archie not wanting to piss off sega doesn't want to do anything to possibly risk their license. Hence why they're afraid of upsetting Ken in anyway.
If Archie really felt deadset on getting everything back, they'd take Ken to court, pay for Sega's lawyers and mop the floor with the clown.
>Sonic vs John Cena
We all know how that'd go anon.
>If Archie really felt deadset on getting everything back, they'd take Ken to court, pay for Sega's lawyers and mop the floor with the clown.
That would cost way to much money that they were probably not willing to pay
Honestly they're probably okay with the reboot. And any attempt from Penders at this point will probably just attract Sega's attention and it wouldn't be in Archie's hands at that point.
So really, it's a standoff with only one party that thinks they're standing off. The other is just figuring out better things to do while the sheriff's watching.
Bioware asked SEGA for some information about Echidnas in the Sonic franchise so they could make their OC villains.
SEGA handed them the Sonic comic.
Bioware modeled the Nocturnes after the Dark Legion.
Penders found out, went full retard, and here we are.
>Grounder spams propaganda of robots cockholding humans by posting women using dildos
>E-100 series laughs at puny human's military and makes calls to bomb them back to the stone age.
>Eggman's sidekicks spout nonsense about the happening happening and and posting random pics of eggman nuking shit.
>Badnicks with furies inside shit post about "Why haven't you upgraded yourself into a robot yet?" and try to shill all the benefits of being robotized and/or used as a robot battery. Anyone who attacks their argument is called IHDF.
>/r9k/ is now /h9k/ and has robots posting tfw when no conquered zone and blaming rings for all their problems. No one thinks to fucking collect them.
Correct. Hence why they rather not do it and risk the possibility of others coming back for aslice. To the number keepers, Sonic is just a book for the kids that pulls in money. And everyone knows kids forget what the hell happened within 2 to 6 books anyways according to them.
Honestly, nothing really has changes, since most of his concepts after 160 are still around in some form.
My main problem with the current stuff is that it's missing its "edge" and all that buildup he did for years before 252 was suddenly torn away.
The comic is still fine, though, and its going to take some time to get back into a proper swing.
This took way too long to come out this shitty but here you go. Also pictured my mousepad from ages ago. Feeling hyped.
Pretty sure he's implying that cutting free that baggage saved Knuckles. And if he didn't, I would have.
>Breezie is a gets/dubs poster found on [sbs]/[shit badniks say], who used to check her doubles on /v/
>Scratch keeps posting about DEUS VULT and how anybody that doesn't follow the faith of Ivo is a heathen
>Coconuts is a
Fuck I hated those levels in Heroes
Fuck you they had the best tracks.
I AIN'T GONNA LET IT GET TO ME
>People talking about Penders
It really sucks that so much was lost. I mean, Ian had been working to fix that trainwreck and spruce up the old characters and tie up plots and then it all just gets flushed. He was doing some good work with Ken's old shit, in particular I really wanted to see where he was going with Geoffrey and the echidnas. Still, that isn't the worst part.
The worst bit is all the collateral damage. They purged everything, including stuff that wasn't at all Penders'. Mogul, Finitevus, The Destructix and so on. Characters that would propably work even better in this new world but the autism of one manchild had to ruin everyone's fun. And for what? His Lara-su Chronicles that's garanteed to be as big a seller as his "The Lost Ones"? I'm still butthurt about the whole thing.
They didn't cancel any of their reprint books and I wish people wouldn't spread dumb bullshit like this.
Select went on a two year hiatus after the first book because they weren't sure what to collect and how to collect it after it ended up selling better than expected. It's going on another hiatus now because they're entirely out of material to shove into them anymore.
Legacy is going on hiatus because another yearly release would cause it to overtake the Archives and cannibalize its sales. The original plan with Legacy, according to Paul, was to spin it off to different properties like Knuckles, so you would have had a Knuckles Legacy or two to fill the void while the Archives created another gap between itself and Sonic Legacy. Since they've probably reached an agreement with Penders where he gets money for Knuckles reprints, they probably don't want to do that shit anymore, so you get a hiatus instead.
Knuckles Archives has been delayed to hell and back and we have no real understanding why, but it's most likely an issue of Archie trying to figure out the most cost effective way to publish the damn thing.
Everything else has been reprinted as it always has, just at a slightly slower pace due to company wide printing hiccups.
Short version: you're a retarded rumor monger. Stop that shit.
>after the first book
Meant "after the second book". Select was originally just meant to collect the standalone specials and they had to take a two year break to organize the future releases in the series.
Rotor's personality is so inconsistent. This is the same guy who let Robotnik walk into Knothole because he wasn't hurting anyone yet. The same guy who built a zen garden a few issues back.
Read all Sonics, even if you don't like them, and only read the Universes you want too.
I don't really give a shit about chaotix, but whenever silver or blaze do some dimension hopping bullshit it's worth it.
Same here. I can't even correctly recall where I left off, it was sometime after Sally got Roboticized though I remember that much
Shit's looking pretty good right now though. Almost better than from what I remember it seems like
I intend to read it all. I mean in a chronological sense of what issue is after/before/between the other issue. The wiki doesn't seem to have any notes on it past where I'm at
>Sonic the Fighters arc
>Sonic 2 Game Gear flashback
>AoStH characters and episode references, including Wes fucking Weasley
>Model 2 era characters, including the one that no one knew about until the mid-2000s
>badnik cameos from across the series
>The casino is a mishmash of different casinos from the games
>The Egg Albatross is hanging in the casino
>oh yeah, there's a greater arc based around Sonic Unleashed going on. Lets put references to that in.
This has to be bar none, the most fanservice-laden Sonic comic yet.
Ian explained old Rotor acting weird a long while ago but that stuff doesn't mean ANYTHING now. The old material isn't in canon to the world post reboot. Rotor is now a battle mechanic, a bit of a dudebro, sorta chill, and pretty rough n tumble. It's a whooooooole new wooorld!
Robotnik landed his vehicle and got out in front of Tails and Rotor. Tails wanted to kick his ass but Rotor said to just wait for Robotnik to make the first move because he came in peace. He was the team nice guy to balance out everyone else's gung-ho attitude. In Mecha Madness he was a pussy. In End Game he wanted to shoot Robotnik on site then later he was against guns all together.
I can get used to Jet Rotor though.
>Ian explained old Rotor acting weird a long while ago but that stuff doesn't mean ANYTHING now.
You mean that bit about him accidentally hurting Larry Lynx (rip)? I'm glad that he at least still rivals Robotnik in weapon design. That fact just makes me wonder where Tails sits.
Did a main series issue reference Universe?
You should start reading up to that point in Universe.
Did a Universe issue reference the main series?
You should start reading up to that point in the main series.
Rinse and repeat.
>You mean that bit about him accidentally hurting Larry Lynx (rip)?
Yup, according to Ian via his forum, that was why Rotor went through such dramatic shifts in personality, in particular on the gun issues post Tossed in Space. Still, it doesn't amount to a hill of beans on this chili dog anymore.
>Angry people don't like zen gardens.
Nigga Zen Gardens are MADE for angry people. That's why you make them. So they can stop being so fuckin' angry all the time.
NuRotor is a gung ho motherfucker who has a sensitive side. That's all there is to it. He has a passion for creating things but he fucking loves wrecking shit.
ah, you were talking about pre-reboot Rotor. Yeah, I think writers just had him do things occasionally to show readers that the whole Satam gang is still here, damn whether Rotor's personality is consistent or not. This later version of Rotor is the first one that really clicks with me.
Also I love that he's around just so Tails isn't the end-all be-all mechanical genius of the group. That's such a bad trap for a character to fall into.
Antoine is a pilots. Or at least he was. They really emphasized that in End Game like he was the only one who could fly them out which was weird because Rotor is a pilot too. Tails was someone else if I recall correctly.
Zeti when? I liked them in Lost World, despite the fact they were one-dimensional as fuck, and what better place to flesh them out than the comics?
It'd be really weird if she couldn't preform self-maintenance. She has to have some form of mechanical knowledge, even if it isn't much compared to the other tech savvy members.
I want that variant.
I liked the dialogue in colors, so why exactly does Sega hate Sonic so badly they won't simply pull a Nintendo and create another one of those exactly the same? The game had a nice amount of content. Hell, I would not mind paying for a Pc port of colors, I barely do use my consoles anyhow, and I play Pc games most of the time.
Funny how many times Sega has managed to pull Sonic out of the mud, just to push the franchise back into it.
>tfw not around for the ride
I wish someone would do it again for newfags/people who missed it/people too lazy to just read it themselves
The Ride never really ends. I'm sure it will leave the station again someday.
