No, Steam choosing not to sell something is not censorship nor a publisher refusing to publish a game is censorship. It is their own property and their own IPs, they have every right to refuse if they don't want to. Whether it's hypocritical of them to allow Postal 1 & 2 to be on Steam while banning Hatred is something else.


Censorship would be actively removing questionable content from the game or removing access the game entirely to the normal consumer.

Yes, it's annoying Steam didn't put up Hatred at first and only did it after caving into Gabe, but guess what? It's still not censorship because you can still get the fucking game from the Dev's website if they put it up. No one is stopping them from getting it.

Don't confuse censorship with a corporation choosing not to sell something.
