When I first started out with MegaTen, I had difficulty remembering which of Tarukaja, Rakukaja, and Sukukaja affected which stat, or if it was -kaja or -kunda that did the buff or debuff and vice versa.

It's my favorite Megaten game because I'm a sucker for the tech noir thing that the Devil Summoner subseries has going on, and it's a really good bridge between classic Megaten and current Megaten. The great thing about the 3DS port is that battles and dungeon movement are lightning fast, and that is something that should be true of more Megaten games.

It all depends on how you feel about magnetite, the loyalty system, and so on, though. A lot of people can't stand the micromanagement aspect of SH.

He's still around. If I'm not misremembering, that whole deal with the bodyswapping shit was orchestrated by Charon and Kyouji. He intended to force the protagonist out of his body when the time was right (even though this would kill the protag for good - Kyouji is a callous motherfucker when it comes to his job), but it didn't work out. His soul had been away from his body for so long that there was no longer any link between the two.

Now he jumps from corpse to corpse. He's in SH as Sukeroku, which is why he makes that weird comment about wanting Finnegan's body. He acts as sort of a guide for inexperienced summoners, which you'll see if you try out SH's ex dungeon. Refuses to cross the River Styx, even though it pisses Charon off.

In Persona 3+4, buffs and debuffs don't stack and also wear off after 3 turns. In P3 you can't even refresh them until they wear off entirely.
Juggling the buffs and debuffs was actually pretty fun on hard mode and much more engaging than Nocturne's style of buff up as much as possible as soon as possible and then win unless the enemy can dispell buffs.
