Fate/ related news: http://www.typemoon.org/bbb/diary/
Looks like Nasu wants to create something new for Fate/EXTRA. Nasu's only written half of what he wanted to write about EXTRA, so get ready.
I've been wanting to get into FATE. The only reason I even know about the series is because, to me, Saber is the hottest anime chick I've seen. I collect her posters, figures, and pictures.
Fan Translation Project: http://xenotranslations.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3
A. Fate/stay night Realta Nua (game) -> Fate/Zero -> Fate/hollow ataraxia
B. Fate/Zero show -> Fate/stay night [UBW] (show)
C. Tsukihime -> Kagestu Tohya -> Melty Blood -> Fate/stay night -> Fate/hollow ataraxia -> Fate/zero
That translation is going to take years.
Nasu is garbage tier writer who has never done anything good. Urobutcher is so much better writer, which was seen in Fate/Zero.
The best fight scenes in the series were in the warehouse district.
He already said he lied about that a month back, when he started writing Grand Order.
He's still mainly just working on Tsukihime now, but he says he wants to write sci-fi now, so he wants to do more Extra.
He's feeling excited about science fiction adventures in space.
>No Tsukihime remake, let alone the fucking sequel
>No Mahoyo continuation
>No more DDD
>No anime/manga/vidya adaptations of any of the above apart from another Meltan a few years down the line that might include Touko if we're lucky
Why, Nasu? I know Fate rakes in all the cash, but come the fuck on.
>He's feeling excited about science fiction adventures in space.
That certainly comes across a lot in Sora no Soto. Here's hoping he expands some more on that at some point.
Want to do something with a Team Grail War. Can't think of Masters that are interesting.
Going to commit seppuku.
Thought this was /tg/. I'm dumb. Leaving now.
She just wasn't as good as a Knight Maid as Saber is.
>>No Tsukihime remake, let alone the fucking sequel
Tsukihime fans always complaining, despite how one of the previous blog pages talking about how he's still working on it.
Guy said it would be ten years, it's been like four years at most and people have been saying "No, it'll never be finished" for over three years immediately following that.
I really hope he removes everything related to Shiki's comments on fucking his sister and senpai.
>the group (Xseed I think?) that translated the first game translate shit like Akiba's Trip and other fanservice games
>meanwhile CCC is still japanese only
There is no God...
I meant the fact that each time Shirou and Ciel share a scene it's always a comment on her breasts or his vivid descriptions of Akiha's body
I get it, it's what the business standard was but you don't need that in the remake.
But she's the Legendary Super Idol. What more could you possibly ask for?
>Tsukihime fans always complaining, despite how one of the previous blog pages talking about how he's still working on it.
He's been 'working on it' since before Plus Disc and Character Material was released, the time period keeps stretching every time. And Tsukihime fans would probably be less bitchy if it got half as much extra material as Fate does.
Personally, I'm just bored of Fate as a concept.
Beginning of my Extra CCC playthrough and don't know what to think right now.
So, does this emulate well? I had Fate/Extra on my PSP a while back, never beat it, sold my PSP. I dunno. I found it tedious. Plot, plot, plot, plot, plot, then grind for sixteen thousand hours, plot, plot, plot, plot, some cool boss fight happens, and so on.
It's not just because of the many lines, but also because PSP died in the West. They'd have to get a very big outcry of fans before you might consider it if it's virtual console only.
It is now
Original VN for now, most other Fate stories are alternate time-line stories. Fate in itself is a story that involves alternate time-lines and butterfly effect. It's all about knowing what the divergence point is in each story, how they separate. Each story expands the universe and is real, but they aren't necessarily connected.
Fate/Zero is a prequel to Fate/Stay
Gilgamesh is whatever he wants to be.
Read the VN if you want the unadulterated experience and you're willing to spend tens of hours reading.
Watch the old anime for a laugh if you want, but it's not representative of the series.
The new series might not be a bad place to start, but it's only partially done so far.
Don't watch Fate/Zero, it'll spoil everything for the main story.
The spin-off stuff is okay, but most of it will go over your head if you're not familiar with the source material.
He's more his original self in CCC, though he could be lying about his class similar to Karna. We know Karna is Lancer but due to his master giving him a poor nickname it ends up sticking, and becomes his class name.
Read Fate/stay night Realta Nua or watch Fate/Zero and/or Stay Night. You can also play Fate/Extra but the other side of the story won't be in English anytime soon.
Stay Night (2014):
The choice is yours and yours alone, good luck.
I felt satisfied with Hollow Ataraxia and didn't want anymore.
The character designs just might, just a little, may have something to do with it. They have no comment and I doubt they will work on it.
Hopefully Type-Moon work on a Vita upgrade that combines E+CCC to inspire them to go at it.
Vita remake of CCC, now seven servants to choose from. Also the final super route where Captain Hakuno, Terrorist Rin, Machine god Sakura, Alchemist Rani, and the rest go to various planets while fighting what comes upon their path.
Will they change Gilgamesh for this scene?
Change Gilgamesh what?
Nasu already notes that the Gilgamesh in F/SN is a little more rowdy due to being incarnated as his human blood stirs him up, so part of his arrogance is due to that.
This is to explain how he's more normal in Zero or CCC comparatively, yet not entirely different.
Make him more of a character and less of a final boss. You don't see his reaction to Kirei being murdered by Lancer and he could use a small scene with Saber to close things off before Heaven's Feel goes down.
Why is Shinji so based in CCC?
Shinji :: Ah —! Hihhh — hii…! Ah, aah, ugh…!
Meltlilith :: See now, which of us is sloppy? A Master without a Servant is only a human being…no, only experience points. That’s how much you’ve managed to annoy me. Just your life won’t be enough. I’m going to absorb all of you, down to the last kilobyte — No, I’ll scale you down to a single Planck. Rejoice, your talent will all be mi, nn…
[Some weird lights and static happen, and Meltlilith pulls back.]
Meltlilith :: No, this…! What is, this — whwh, what’s happening!?
Shinji :: Ha…haha…hahaha…my god, I couldn’t believe it…Tohsaka and those girls were soft. Thinking, oh we just need to do something about the invincibility, really, they think like, second-rate gamers — Ha, ah…thinking of what, to do, about the level difference between you, and Kishinami, after the invincibility was out — that’s the perfect strategy, the perfect, gamer, see —
…It’s a terrible sight. A hole is opening in Shinji’s stomach, and as the virus melts his insides and blood leaks from his mouth, he’s smiling feebly. But — his figure is filled with the utmost human dignity.
Meltlilith :: What have you done, Shinji!? Why is my — my level is doing down all the way to 1…!?
Shinji :: Ha…oh, did I forget to mention? See, I accidentally swallowed a virus, and my level went down. *wheeze*…haha, if I hadn’t noticed and keep drinking it, the counter would’ve stopped at some point. Man, was I surprised…My level, you know, it was going all the way down to minus 999!
Meltlilith :: Wha — what did you say? Then I…just drained a minus 999 level debt from you…!? That’s, not possible…! You…using your own body as a lure you laid a trap for me, you did!? There’s no way some childish and selfish who can’t love anyone could, do something, like…!
Shinji :: Hah, yeah, you’re right! I am selfish, and a kid, and I don’t care about other people! But see, as a gamer, I couldn’t stand your the way you do things, at all. I love picking on weaklings myself. But, you do that with your own strength, using borrowed abilities, you can only get so spoiled. Really — cheating is so gross it sickens me! You stupid idiot! Also, you’re stupid!
Meltlilith :: SHI — SHINJI —!
Shinji :: Hah, have you figured it out! Don’t underestimate Asia’s number one gaming champion!
[Meltlilith dives forward, but...]
Meltlilith launches another attack at Shinji, but is held at bay by Gilgamesh. BB has confiscated her invincibility, and thanks to Shinji her overwhelmingly high level has come down to earth.
Gilgamesh :: Stand down, Meltlilith. This is not due to error on your part. This man did well. Shinji had to win, and so he won. So I will not permit any further injury to the victor here. Next is your battle with us.
Fate/stay night still has the crappy bootleg translation from Takajun and nobody has attempted to clean it up or improve it.
Fate/Zero LN is translated from Chinese, which was a translation from Japanese.
Fate/Extra is the only Fate/ thing with a good translation save for UTW's fansubbing efforts.
It's painfully obvious for any TRUE TM FAN that fate/shit must be buried already. Fate/shit and its target audience of fate/kids are the worst tumors that happened to grow on TM virgin body that cannot create anything now, even Mahoyo was a PIECE of SHIT and BOMBED really hard.
And what is more hilarious - Type-SHIT is pretending like it never happened and preferred to completely FORGOT about their new VN by making another absolutely IDIOTIC fate/shit such as EXTRA/SHIT and APOCRYSHIT.
There is no doubt, NEO-TSUKIHIME remake will be absolutely terrible and stained by filthy hands of Takeshit and Nasushit who completely lost themselves in MILKING fate/shit for last 10 years.
Fuck you NEO-TM scum and fuck your shit taste that corrupted previously a good studio. If those idiots listened to TRUE TM FANS that MODERN SHIT would never happen.
Seibah is breddy gud.
There's F/S:N on nyaa called Realta Nua but you need another patch to reinsert the H-scenes.
Or you could just google for the Fuwanovel version that I got
which contains a flowchart to get all the endings too,but /a/ will calls you a faggot if you do that. If you care.
I just recently finished UBW and holy shit was it fucking
ideal death and rebirth
It's really good.
Thank you for joining the saber army
It also reinserts certain scenes of sexual nature that have to do with the story and characters, though mostly in Heaven's Feel as far as I've seen.
Might as well not miss any content.
I've been trying to get into this one again and again, but either the mirror moon translation is fucking awful, or it just isn't very well written. What do I do if I legitimately find Tsukihime fucking boring even when compared to a vn about fucking stock trading? Is there a better translation out there somewhere?
He hasn't read HF yet, there's still a chance for him to join the cult of Rider.
Will it be using the same cast of characters?
Will we ever get CCC?
Am I setting my hopes to high for a Vita port?
Can we take a moment to remember a true superhero?
Fate and Tsukihime both suffer from shitty translations and Nasu wasn't a great writer at the time.
Read the manga instead, it only covers the Near Side.
I just finished UBW today.
I don't know if my heart can take any more for now. So I've been catching up on the UFO animu.
This shit looks gr8 at 59fps.
>Dat Lancer vs Archer fight.
Also, is it the exact same VAs as from the VN?
I kinda wanted a different voice for Shirou.
Without him we wouldn't have a hollow ataraxia translation progression. We all love you, Nameless Hero.
The same cast with new direction. UBW will have new scenes here and there to expand on the roles of Kirei, Illya, Gil, Shinji, and Taiga. Did you watch Fate/Zero before hand? It will make Heaven's Feel a bigger emotional rollercoaster if you have.
We all did.
I can kinda see the problems made from a shitty translation but I actually just recently got through Fate and UBW of the VN for the first time and greatly enjoyed them.
The entire story was enthralling.
I have not. I still need to play HF. So F/Z is an anime? How many episodes is it?
I'm halfway into episode 2 of UBW and I've noticed the new direction in choices and such. But god damn Fuji-Nee is 2moe.
>telling someone to watch F/Z before reading the entirety of F/SN
What the fuck is wrong with you
Fate/Zero describes the 4th Holy Grail War.
The new Fate/stay night is painted as a sequel to it, for whatever reasons.
I wish I could watch Fate/Zero without knowing Fate/stay night to enjoy the ending more. Fate/stay night (2014) is really boring so far.
The Light Novel with the shitty translation over the masterpiece by Ufotable? Sure thing, bud. I'll get right on that.
Fate/Extra series is the best thing to come out of this company.
Most powerful Master/Servant combination shadowing past!
>Mega Milk Saber
So Fate/Extra is a PSP game? Can I emulate it?
It's a story about a Grail War in the Moon, after a near apocalypse hit and Earth is in its final stages of decline before the Aristotle come.
Only hope for humanity left might lie in the greatest Holy Grail of them all, the Mooncell. In terms of power between it and the Fuyuki Grail, it's about the difference between Shirou and Arcuied.
Basically in the 1970's a ritual happened on Earth that fucked over everything and few billion people may have died. Magic also died, only cyber-magic is left.
Might just be easier to go with this description honestly.
It was announced what, 2008? then we saw the first concept art early this year? And still no details about what platform, whether 18+, if there's voice acting etc.
I guess by the time it comes out I'll have learned moon well enough to play it without the old mirrormoon fan translation.
All the guys want her and the girls... they want to be her.
Forgot the part at the beginning of the chapter, describing Earth's situation at the moment.
>They announced a remake of the original Tsukihime in the June 2008 issue of Tech Gian. It is set to feature enhanced artwork and sound, changes to the storyline, and the originally discarded route for Satsuki Yumizuka. They are undecided as to whether the new version will be voiced or if the erotic elements of the original game will remain in the new version.
Second best Sucky Heim. Being primarily an exposition character and overshadowed partially by Arc and partially by Roa invading Shiki's mind in her own route really hurt her character. She's still pretty cool, though.
We all are aware who the true Queen of Type-Moon is, correct?
Sakura is the best Type-Moon female, right /v/?
We're not starting this bait waitu wars shit on /v/, where the Type Moon conversations aren't shit like /a/ currently.
Don't samefag with yourself to get the ball rolling either.
I agree. Why is /a/ such a shithole to talk about Fate in?
One route of CCC is almost fully translated, minus a lot of NPC dialogue. We're getting there.
if only the translation project could figure out the coding, things would go pretty fast here.
It'll be Fate/Extra CCC remade for vita right.. Right..?
Lot of stagnation basically; people have talked about this series to death over the last eight years now. When there's nothing left to talk about with something yet you can't just leave anymore, all that leaves to do at times is shit-post in every thread with exactly what you know will get reactions. "Don't forget, you're here forever", so until each new episode airs it's always bait everywhere, fake Frodo questions , and general ____-wars in a bad way. Any time half the girls are even mentioned there's usually some meme attached to them that gets repeated a dozen times over.
You also get more fresh conversation from any topic that isn't the home board of that topic, where people aren't quite as jaded about it. Fate is a video game so it does work here, but conversation isn't so horribly stagnated that it can only go in one direction.
CCC in general had a lot of nice moments where the cast just interacted with each other. It made the entire thing feel a lot more real than Extra original.
>Leo :: Hehe. Seeing your just-woke-up face is nice. I wonder if this is what student dormitories feel like.
>Rin :: Oh. If that’s what you’re after, should I make a dining hall? If there’s room in the memory, that is. We can all take turns being on meal duty.
>Leo :: An excellent proposal. It’s reasonable to attempt to stimulate the brain by revitalizing one’s work. If there’s memory for it we should definitely consider it. Ah, then we’ll have the problem of chef skills or lack thereof. What about you, Gawain?
>Gawain :: Unfortunately, cooking is part of the duties of a knight. Also, I’m a vegetarian, so…preparing food that makes heavy use of meat or alcohol is a weak point of mine.
>Rin :: What about Julius? He seems to be relatively good at homestyle cooking?
>Leo :: My brother’s curry is certainly unique. True, we do still have leftovers…remaining, so we can treat you to some later, Miss Tohsaka.
>Rin :: Well, I prefer Chinese food myself, but if you insist, I’ll have some.
>Gatou :: …uuh. Even my culinary skills are lacking. As I can make nothing other than five-grain rice gruel, don’t get your hopes up.
>They don’t seem to be in low spirits in the student council room. Rin and Leo have been here analyzing BB and the Alter Egos this whole time, but it hasn’t changed their usual behavior. Jinako isn’t here…she’s probably not awake yet. If she’d been monitoring the room she would definitely have made fun of Gatou after what he said.
>Rin :: Oh, looks like you’ve calmed down a little. You’re starting to smile, Kishinami.
Caster-class Servants are the best kind of Servants.
For people who are entirely different, sometimes there aren't any better ways to bond than food.
>Gawain :: Good morning. We just finished breakfast. As it was a good opportunity, I decided to prepare Leo’s meal myself. How was your breakfast this morning, Leo?
>Leo :: Ah, terrible. I’ll need to you to do one hundred laps around the grounds and then apprentice yourself to Sakura after this, Sir Gawain.
>Gawain :: What!? Even though I prepared all the best ingredients!? My lord, is there perhaps some abnormality in your sense of taste!?
>Sakura :: Um…I don’t think that’s the problem…even if you have the very best ingredients, if all you do is mash them up and serve them you can’t really call it cooking, see, Mr. Gawain?
>Jinako :: ‘s true. Even I’d pass on that, and I’m a junk food junkie. Only farm pigs’d eat that. No, even the pigs would turn there noses at that garbage!
>Gawain :: Wha…what…!? But my king would always eat all of it wordlessly and expressionlessly, cool as always!
>Leo :: Hahaha. You were blessed with a kind lord in life, Sir Gawain. But I’m afraid I won’t be giving in so easily. From now on, I command that the only blade you take in hand will be your holy sword. The kitchen is no place for a knight, after all.
>Gawain :: Gh…I am still far too green in the realm of cooking…! Now that it’s come to this, I swear to put forth yet greater efforts! Allow me to build up an even denser stack of potatoes! Why, if daylight hours, I can make it three times over!
>Rani :: …he really hasn’t reflected on this at all. Sir Gawain is the real munchk…no, it’s nothing.
>Rin :: It’s no use…we really need to do something about this knight soon…
>Gawain :: …your scathing judgments break my heart…but! Though I am a knight of Britain, I will prove to you that I can make top-class mashed potatoes!!
>Rin :: That’s why we told you not to cook! Are Saber-class heroic spirits really nothing but meatheads!?
What are the chances Nasu can create new and lovable characters that are completely different from the past creations?
I realized that there's another Blossom Sensei mini drama out so I listened to that, I dunno if anyone else has been through it but
-In Extra there was originally a plan for Rin/Rani to become a pseudo-servant and fight for you (???) but it was rejected. Sakura regrets not being able to see Nee-sa-- I mean Tohsaka-san in a Lancer outfit.
-Code casts work in real life too (what....). Rin has a lot of her own but hides them so people don't steal them. If she sold the patents she'd be rich, this is "the blood of Tohsaka Tokiomi" (thanks Sakura)
-The devices Masters use to enter the moon cell usually double as life support machines for their bodies, if they enter by other means they're fucked and won't be able to go back even if they win
-There is a group of wizards who are like Interpol, or maybe Zenigata.
-Wizards still have crests, Rin and Leo have them
Punk pony-tail Rin is best Rin
New, but aren't clones? 20%
New, but do look like older characters? 40%
>Sakura regrets not being able to see Nee-sa--
Strange, they literally aren't sisters here. Although I think near the end of CCC Rin does tell her to call her nee-san, in a more familiar sense kind of like Ilya calls Shirou Onii-chan like an older boy she's familiar with. Despite her really being the Onee-chan. So they reached sort of the same result, even if the meaning is different.
>-Code casts work in real life too (what....).
Kiara is on the run from the cops in the first place because she created her soul code cast on Earth which created mass suicides. Of course they work on Earth, otherwise you'll get to the Moon and have no idea how shit even works since you've never used it before.
How they work was never really explained so much, but it definitely is in play
>tfw no Beowulf Servant
I wanna see the bullshit they come up with for that dude.
>this is "the blood of Tohsaka Tokiomi"
Despite being a massive fuck-up, it is noted in the data-books that Tokiomi was one of the best magus ever with money in a sense.
Guy made some great investments, that Kotomine later fucked up so Rin would be poor.
So many doujinshi for this series that aren't being uploaded.
At least we finally got one more Extra one recently.
I can't sexualize the Fate characters.
I can't fuck someone I respect.
Gilgamesh (ギルガメッシュ, Girugamesshu?) is a Servant available to be chosen by Hakuno Kishinami in Fate/Extra CCC. He is an alternate version of his counterpart that appears in Fate/stay night. Unlike the counterpart who is summoned under the Archer class, he claims that he does not fall under any of the Servant classes, so he is referred to only as Gilgamesh.
It's noted he's a basically his full self here, to the point that upon summoning him the Mooncell just threw him in the thrash pile immediately since it couldn't deal with his bullshit.
Everything deemed too bullshit to deal with is sent to the far side of the Moon. All malignant data, shit too dangerous for even Mooncell, the origin of all divine spirits, that sort of stuff.
No living being is ever supposed to go to the Far Side of the Moon, also Far Side of the Moon has no concept of space or time. So even if something did wind up there it could not even really move since space does not technically exist, unless it had some form of Imaginary Number tampering to create space within nothingness like BB did.
It's an ideal sort of prison, since all normal logic isn't allowed so easily there. However it's a very troublesome place at the same time since it creates a blind-spot for even the Mooncell itself in a sense.
Getting from the Far Side to the Near Side is supposed to be impossible beyond some measure. Although Gilgamesh seemingly managed it in one ending of the game, at the cost of 90% of his infinite treasury in the process.
Beserker class who starts off fighting with a sword, until an enemy servant breaks it or some shit, and then it is revealed that he is just better with his bare hands as he rips through everybody.
>Far Side of the Moon
>The setting of CCC.
>If one thinks of the moon as having two sides, the side facing Earth is the Near Side, while the opposite...the side that cannot be observed from the Earth is the Far Side.
>While Fate/EXTRA starts from the first floor of the Near Side and heads for the seventh floor ~ the core, CCC starts from the Far Side (no concept of floors). Though the path may differ, the end goal for both is the core of the Moon Cell.
>The Far Side of the Moon is a place where data deemed unnecessary by the Moon Cell is kept, similar to a dumping ground.
>It is imaginary number space that continuously takes in data categorized as malignant information――that which is nothing but harmful to humans as well as intelligent lifeforms in general.
>The Far Side is territory so taboo that even the “Eye” in the core of the Moon Cell is forbidden to enter.
>Data that have entered this place, after becoming engulfed in humanity’s malignance and losing sight of their purpose of existence, ultimately become deprived of meaning.
>The Far Side can also be said to be an ocean that has amassed the pollutants that the Moon Cell accrues as it makes its observations.
Here's also a basic map of the Mooncell
Alice, a living reality marble created by the belief of girls all over the world, with their innocent ideals. Always takes the form of its user, it's NP might also take the form of their desire.
For Alice who wished not to die, Alice's NP took the form of "Queen's Glass Game" which if its allowed to activate will create an infinite time-loop, so the children's game can go on forever.
Alice died in the war back home, her final days were hooked to a computer in that white room alone without ever being free. Alice is the reflection of her wish for a friend, and her wish to live.
Alice is always someone different upon being summoned, never has a real "self", but she was happy to be Alice. It's a strange thing when a being which should have no humanity or self develops a heart, only for it to be too late as it can only despair in its final moments. Which is kind of a big thing with the Alter Ego's in CCC.
Seems to be a theme with the main heroine of any of his games. Arcuied who was something other than human and just discovering humanity for the first time in a sense. Arthur who was something other than human(A king, rather than just a girl) who learned what it meant to just be an individual rather than an ideal
