generations was probably the only one they did well, however it was ruined by how short it was. instead of remaking old stages and raking in the cash as DLC, they just did casino night and said "fuck it, we don't want money".

Well beside the fact that this group had like 2-3 years to make this game I don't think it really matters how long they give some team to make it.
Also this is like Sega's only game that they make anymore, or atleast that's what it feels like.

I tried the 3DS demo and really liked it
and have preordered it (come at me).But I don't think I'll get the Wii U one until I see more gameplay... or if they do a Wii U demo.
I can see it happen, but who knows till it finally comes out. Problem is, they're repeating history in making the same mistakes Sonic 06 made but worse since now they have the animated show to worry about as well (making deadlines a lot stricter).

So my expectations of this being on the same level as shovelware was correct. And to think I was somewhat optimistic that this game would be decent when I learnt former Naughty Dogs people were behind.

They've had ample time to improve the game but decided not to and to make it worse, not to mention just look at who's developing it

For the purposes of the cutscene it would make far more sense to change to something that makes you wanna fight bad guys, than to have it keep playing the peaceful standard BGM.
That and it just makes the entire scene seem that little bit lazier.

People don't even count lost worlds when they say that, and lost world is a lot better than this shit (although still mediocre).
I think Lost World was made by the Colors/Storybook team, so presumably the 2015 title is the next "big" one a la Generations. Should be interesting to see if they've taken anything from the last few games on board.

If you're playing a Sonic level for the first time, the camera is so close to Sonic you cannot react to hazards. Also, the penalty for screwing up is HUGE speed loss. It's not as fast or as fun as something like Super Meat Boy.
I don't mind them making more shitty Sanic games, at least the shitty devs are contained and don't spread into decent games. Imagine if the devs of Boom got their hands on something like Yakuza...
Been saying since day one that it would crash, burn, and then immediately be swept under the rug by Sega. Cartoon will get maybe one season when it doesn't sell as much merch as they thought. And it won't. Jesus christ Sega it's not the 90's, Sonic shit simply does not sell like that anymore.

Sega also funded this project and hired I believe the people who made Borderlands or something o do it, and allegedly the dev mismanaged resources in favor of their own games at the expense of Sega.

Boost games are the fucking antithesis to Sonic where it doesn't matter if you get hit, doesn't matter if you're good, just fucking boost to win, it kills enemies, is the fastest top speed you can achieve, you don't need to build momentum, just push the button and go. It's casual garbage and the level design suffers horribly from it. I sure do love straight lines and mach speed sections, those are nice and challenging. Oh, but if you jump on this rail it takes you around an obstacle and back to the straight line further ahead, but you have to know the rail is there! Fuck off.
