At what point did Nintendo stop being the reference for quality durable hardware?
>Y-You're just using it wrong!
There aren't any Vita games to risk breaking the sticks though.
>He never played Muramasa
Shit gets intense
>n hardware quality.

>>people on /v/ actually own Shitas
>When did this place become sonygger central?
>people on /v/ actually own 3ds
When did this place turn into Nintoddler central?
This shit is easy, manchild
Honestly, I don't think it ever deserved it. Not really. I'll grant that you could bash their shit, drop their shit, run your Game Boy through the laundry, whatever, and it would come out usable, but shit malfunctioned fast. Remember blowing on the cartridge/into the console? We all know that one. Thing is, that was no more real than holding B to capture a Pokemon. The problem wasn't typically dust, it was the system hardware itself having issues. You or I might not have been able to break the system, but it broke itself pretty easily. It was that period's version of the RROD, it just caused partial problems instead of completely fucking the system.
No, it really, really isn't.
The rest of the thing is built like a tank, but they used the flimsiest plastic imaginable for the screen. A screen protector is mandatory. I learned that the hard way.
The circle pad for my XL hasn't broken yet, but the left stick on my PSP broke and now I just can't play Freedom Unite or P3rd on it. I have a Vita now, but still, shit sucks.
Ive had my Vita since launch. Have used it a lot, carried it in my pocket a lot, tossed it around a bit. Not one scratch on the screen/faceplate.
Do you have the new shitty version?
I'm not him
do you seriously not understand that it's far easier to make a compact, durable d-pad than it is a durable analog stick? do you seriously not understand that an analog stick and d-pad are not the same thing? did you know that the 3DS has a perfectly durable d-pad, even though it feels like complete shit to use?
again, are you retarded?
Now if only the 3DS uses Vita's stick. Thatll be much more comfortavle to play
They used a small drop of shitty glue on the rubber gap.
Mine came off while playing luigis mansion.
It's easily fixable if the stick/slider itself didnt break. Just glue it back on with model cement or hot glue.
Take a suck, i did it bitch, i've reached 100.
If only both would be using the Caanoo's Stick.
GOAT handheld analog stick.
The 3DS overall quality is incredibly inferior to the late DS.
And oh, the DS has an analog stick.
My DSlite works perfectly to this day, bought on day one.
My 3DS now has an yellowed screen and I had to change the analog.
You can keep calling me retarded, but it doesn't change the fact that the Nintendo dropped on quality control as of late.
I played too much smash on this
And it still works after 14 years
Mine's a launch model too. I've always been especially ginger with it, and it still has a small scratch that, to this day, I have no idea how it got there. It's especially evident when the screen is white, or just really bright, and it's especially annoying because it's right where all the text in every game ever happens to be.
With the way the rest of the machine is built, and the way they were all about quality, you'd think they would have done one of those Gorilla Glass treatments to the screen, but no. Just regular old easy-to-scratch plastic.
Honestly, it's not even THAT bad, it's just the brightness and sharpness of the OLED screen, ironically, brings the scratch into sharper focus, and it's distracting as fuck.
But I'm just taking a break from all the great games I'm enjoying on the Vita
Stop it you're killing me with the jokes.
>children get smash brothers
>they go absolutely nuts with it and start breaking their toys
>Being this wrong.
My 3DS has lasted longed then my DS. Not a single dead pixel, loose buttons and my d-pad is beautiful. The only thing messed up is I accidentally got some shit in the slot, so I have to play with cartridges if I want it to read, but that's 100% my fault.
>in charge of hardware
Shit was bad ever since the N64, where the controller had a piece of shit analog stick and required memory sticks and expansion packs to run certain games.
>No, it really, really isn't.
Yes it is. You must be some kind of animal with pointy nails.
I play Vita way more than I play my 3DS and my Vita screen is still perfect.
>3DS has shitload of games
>Hardware broke because of playing so much
>VITA has no games
>Hardware doesn't broke because you don't play shit
Well considering you just see weeb dating sims on vita, its not surprise.
>I cant find a cool looking and durable pair for anything
Koss PortaPro master race.
Okay I want to buy a vita for my birthday.
I can get a Vita + Muramasa + DC + a 8GB memory stick for about 200€, will 8gb be enough?
also what's the difference between the original vita and the slim version? I heard the original vita has a better screen.
Cool game. Let me play too. Good thing it's multiplat.
>friend of mine drops his shitty iphone
>mfw the screen bursts into a shitton of pieces
You only have ONE analog stick, are you sure you should be doing that?
The GC was shit too. When I had one, it would just turn of while I was playing a game. THEY'RE ALL SHIT. And the first DS was flimsy too. The top screen wobbled easily. IT'S ALL CRAP.
It's not the screen itself that's bad, it's that there's not a ton of structural integrity BEHIND the screen. (on the 1000s at least) so if you apply a fair amount of pressure you can crack it
Do you recommend any other transparent case for the Vita? I put mine on because I don't want to get my skin gunk and oil all over it.
That shitty mandatory lockscreen swipe already made me taint the screen enough with my fingerprints.
Everytime, i remember 2 years back.
It happened a lot more back then.
im not sure i understand this moomoo. is there a reason you SHOULDNT be able to do this? i mean it might fuck up your sticks. psp would fuck up all the time and youd end up going left or right permanently
fuck you nigger i took mine before you did. i just took longer to post it
actual vitafag here, played a bunch of sf alpha 3 on the vita and the sticks have gotten kind of wiggly, but other than that dont seem to want to break anytime soon
The second they realized how much cash they can made by putting out slight redesigns of their handhelds. What better way to get people to buy the system 3-4 times than by making them break down after a few months of moderate to heavy use. Most people will find it cheaper and easier to replace than repair.
You're that cross dressing faggot
are you a gril?
"nintendium" was never really a thing
people only think it was because the gameboy and gamecube were fucking solid blocks of plastic
if you drop a nintendo 64 down the stairs it's going to break
This wouldn't happen if you weren't such a fucking child and treated the things mommy and daddy buy you with a modicum of respect.
I hope you fucking die. Soon.
This is absolutely nothing special. I've left a dime under the circle pad to grind for pokemon too, and nothing bad happened to that.
This is just as stupid as when people complained that throwing your wii remote at your television would break it.
Did he fall back on vidyagames, is first love, when he went
It's thanks to shitty practices like this that
___Sonyis going out of business.
That's just being reckless, the PSP's sticks are way to fragile.
it it can broke just by playing imagine what happens doing shit like this
I was part of the group making fun of people for playing Smash like animals and breaking their circle pad. Last night I was just playing some online and what do you know, it falls off. Guess that's what I get.
We have. It was amazing on the Wii and just as good if not better on the Vita.
More evidence pointing to nintendo fans being akin to apple fans. Literally ITT
>you're playing the game wrong
Anyone else remember this shit some years ago?
i have never seen this shit in a muramasa game
Mine fell off and I was playing things like Animal Crossing and Rune Factory 4. It also had a really floppy hinge. Then the whole thing bricked and that's when I sold it to Gamestop.
...yea dude I'm worried about you. You might want to stop doing both those things right now and you'll already be 30% closer to being a functioning member of society.
The Wii was the first Nintendo console I've EVER had trouble with. My NES still works fine.
For some reason one day, my Wii's files became "corrupt" or something and wouldn't make it to the main menu. I never even tried modding it or anything.
That was the first and only time I've ever had to send in a Nintendo console for repairs
>in grade 8 with asian parents
>play gamecube all weekend instead of study
>get B on some exam
>dad goes ragemode, beats the fuck out of me, throws gamecube out of 7th floor balcony
>mom feels sorry, goes to get it
>few days pass
>check gamecube, little dented but works perfectly
Out of a 7 fucking floor balcony onto concrete. You find me a device that can do this.
My niggas. Baby Blue best handheld color.
But this happens with anything that you are too rough on. I remember busting the analog trigger on a PS2 controller and my PSP before. What does that anecdotal evidence prove?
Does anyone have the Sega Saturn 3D controller? I have to see someone try this
I mostly hang in Bayo threads aswell, it's ridiculous how much shit gets slung from both parties.
I don't really play it ever since I got a vita, this PSP was only for Project diva playing since it was the one that came with the PJD2nd bundle, so I don't care much about the analog on it now
fuck all of you with your fancy handhelds
Haha, college buddy of mine wouldn't let me play Smash on his 3DS anymore because of this, that insta-stress when i saw me play for the first time.
I love how the response to this picture is basically the same as it would be if a girl had posted it, minus a few "tits or gtfo." Good job for calling out attention whoring.
>if you drop a nintendo 64 down the stairs it's going to break
Nah, it's a cartridge system there are hardly any moving parts, I'm more of a PS1 guy but the 64 beats it in durability any day
Am im doing it right?
also i love how durable that fucker is, best thing you can get as a mustard racer
>Think it's a picture of a girl bending over with yoga pants on and a dude giving a rock on sign
Have some trouble with NES, but SNES, N64, GBPocket, GBC (2 of them), GC, and GBA all work fine, and so do all of their games and controllers (GC joysticks are a little loose,).
But the Wii has broken down on me twice.
I feel like some 3DSs have more Nintendium than others
For instance I dropped my 3DS XL off a second story balcony onto wood flooring, scratches. but it still works.
Meanwhile my original ambassador 3DS was a flimsy piece of shit. Luckily Nintendo's customer service is good so I got all the ambassador stuff on there.
>mfw it took a few seconds before I noticed the handhelds
2 of my xbawx controllers (one barely used) started having problems with the left analog stick, when pressing the stick forwards it could no longer detect it all the way.
Especially noticeable in Dark Souls, since you need to hold the stick all the way if you want to run in a certain direction.
I bet my 3DS that a lot of people are small time compared to you
Someone try making a ladder with a psp, 3ds, and a Vita,
I guess it was bad luck, anon. I had a Xbox controller for 5 years and i only stopped using it because the mentioned xbox broke and i bought another one that came with a secondary control, so i started using this one because it was new. The old one is the controller that my friends use when they come over and no one even notices that is old. Truly an based controller.
I went through two gamecubes, never roughed them up or anything, barely moved them. Their sensors would overtime just stop reading the discs.
original n64 broke because my young sister sat on it. my current one still works after all these years though.
my original ps1 (the circular small white version) broke because my brother and sister sprayed water all over it. current ps1 works fine.
original xbox disc tray is jammed and i can't get it open no matter what.
ps2 is begining to have some reading errors every now and then but over all it works fine. dreamcast works fine. my Genesis (original version) works most of the time. GBA's and psp's work fine for the most part. Only issues I have are with their dying batteries. 3ds and vitas work great as well as my wii, wii u, ps3 and 360.
So i guess I've had most trouble with my nintendo systems than others
So the exact point they stopped using Sony as their hardware guys after shitting on a deal with Sony. Which pushed Sony to make the ps1 which kicked the shit out of the n64.
Why do you think golden eye 64 is so popular it's the only game they had
You know, it's kind of funny, yet depressing to see how /v/ enjoys playing with their handhelds more than they enjoy playing GAMES on their handhelds.
Shit, you guys have more fun thoing this stick-holding than playing any game whatsoever.
I did this and it was fun, I admit it.
Nintendium reserves dried up with the release of the DSFat. When they released the DS Lite is was prone to cosmetic defects and every system since then has used a different material that's not quite as strong
I want to see someone do this with a full tower now.
These were some of the worst joysticks of all time, worse than the 3DS.
I'd complain more about the 3DS's L button than the circle pad. I don't know what you retards are doing to fuck up your circle pad to the point where it actually breaks off, but the only problem I've ever had with Nintendo consoles is their handheld's L button.
Seriously, what the dick is wrong with them. I've been blowing into the space between the L button and the console, but that only fixes it for a little while.
>Somebody broke their Vita stick doing what OP claimed was a mark of the Vita's build quality
Back in 1986 when all those NES consoles wouldn't work unless you blew into the cartridges.
Shit's been bad since the beginning, where have you been?
>ill form my opinions based on what i saw on the internet
It's a thing that people are breaking their sticks from Smash
>i hope you people don't vote.
You're the fucking moron here, kiddo.
dunno man, could be that im extremely lucky but my vita dropped maybe 20 times from a bunkbed when i was in the army and it works like a charm, also it used to be in use almost 15hours a day by different people
now its just a juutub machine, but a good one at that
Why are you guys all acting like hanging a joystick with a finger is some magical thing?
Literally any game controller/ handheld with a joystick should be able to do this, what the fuck /v/.
Sony is a great hardware manufacturer, but they're pretty shit at software. The fact that they risk way too much into having cutting edge technology and proprietary bullshit kills their sales though.
Post your face when OP's shitty console war thread got BTFO and turned into nothing but OC
I can't do it, is it because
I don't have nails.
