I usually offer them a free win7 upgrade if they are a new customer. It gives them incentive to come back to you. Sometimes it causes issues with wifi drivers and what not, but they totally think they're getting a deal and will come back over and over again.

Well, for the guy that breaks his shit all the time, I have really came down on the price because I feel sorry for the guy. All I usually have to do is run adw cleaner and remove some shit from add/remove, I charge him $10-15, because his house really isnt out of the way. He usually gives me $25 anyway. + any hardware

For anyone not a regular, $100 for anything to do with system restore. $40 for anything to do with virus removal.

If I have to do ANYTHING manually I charge more. The best part about system restores is laptops made in the last 5 years all have partitioned restores on the HDD anyway, so it's as easy as hitting a button during startup and you have the full restore+drivers instantly.

1 hour, $100. The best thing to do is check your local repair shop and just cut their prices.
