Whats the most depressing ending in a vidya game?

For me it's Ending B of Nier.

You know all the shit you did was for nothing.
The ending instills in you the issue we have today that a culture of war pervades many areas of the world, and that those areas most likely cannot be saved and will simply disappear amidst all the wars.

Ending B or D of Nier.

New Vegas is pretty depressing in that no matter how much good you did, you cant change human nature. Blood will always continue to spill and nothing really changes. Wouldn't be surprised if we nuked each other again.

Fucking Drakengard, every ending was depressing, even the secret one after getting 100%

the whole time youre just a puppet helping the league take over the world and at the end you have to fight your friend who was also just a puppet after you kill him the league takes over the world because of you and not only do they make life shit for everybody the end up killing the planet

DmC's ending has to be up there. The game ends with demonic monsters running wild in a ruined, mostly destroyed city. Regular people are being slaughtered en masse. And the hero does not give a single solitary fuck about them.
