Sidescroller worked brilliantly well with the fast paced tactile combat as opposted to trying to attack darknuts in Zelda 1. Felt more challenging and twitch-difficult than fiddling with shit controls. LOZ is far more cryptic than Zelda 2 and you can mostly figure shit out, theres less "puzzle" and more exploration focus.
And No, The RPG system doesn't matter apart from Magic I believe. You can beat the game with the bare minimum stats if you're good enough, HP and ATK RPG elements are mostly there to power up Link and soften the damage.

It's a fun as fuck entry in the series and I'd have loved a new Zelda like it. But "muh top-down view" fans wanted the classic format, so, whatevs. ALTTP is great though.

A direct translation of the Japanese name for Magnemite is "Coil" and Magneton is "Rarecoil". This is a simple electromagnet. Notice how its a metal wire coiled around a screw with a power source? This is what they are based off of.
Dispite being based off of real things, Magnemite and Magneton look very little like their real life counterparts. The same cannot be said for boo-boo keys.

Thats one of the things that hgss did really well. They really did a lot to flesh out the post game, even though the underleveling is still an issue, being able to rebattle gym leaders and the league, and also giving the gym leaders actual personalities (and letting them leave their gyms rather than just them stabding there like statues) really improved upon the original imo

X/Y struggle the same way that R/S did, no post game. I do think that X/Y is the better game than R/S. they were both incredibly easy, and both introduced a bunch of new things. X/Y has the physical/special split though, which is IMO a huge deal in deciding which is better. Online play is also a huge factor and actually gives the game some postgame. If I had to chose, I'd pick X/Y over Ruby/Sapphire, but I still fucking love sapphire

Because they took a steaming shit and called it Sonic 4. There is no greater insult to the series and its fans than this. Sonic 4 was when I completely gave up on the series. At least 06 was a sort of contained disaster. Sonic 4 can never be rectified. This extremely important and delicate part of the series will forever be a shit stain. Does no one stop to think about how serious that is? Sonic fucking 4. As in, what is supposed to be the 4th entry to the original, most monumentally important set of games in the entire fucking franchise.
