Soul Memory killed Dark Souls 2 for me. In DeS/DaS I had a connection with my characters, but in DaS2 they just feel expendable, and temporary. Once you get into the hell zone there's no escape unless you backup your saves

The Souls community has an insanely elitist attitude at times. We'll ignore the people who are super serious about PvP, because honestly the netcode alone should make most people realize it's a waste of time to try to be "good" at it(it's fun, and sure you can be decent at it, but you have to take it with a grain of salt which a lot of players don't).

That, and there's just a lot of in-fighting. People who claim one game is better than the other. I find all Souls games to be fun in their own ways, and don't really care to argue the point. That doesn't bother me, really. Souls games are just really fun and interesting, with the difficulty being blown way out of proportion. I had a friend who I showed some Souls games too and he assumed we'd be torturing ourselves with it, but after a while of playing he was just having fun.

If more people buy the game because they think it looks like a cool game, with no preconceptions about its difficulty, that's good in my books.

You do realise the valley was a literal shihole long before she came? Thats the whole reason those dudes in the valley love Astrea so much, she was the first person in a long time that cared for them like they were human beings.

Honnestly Allant was right, everthing in the demon souls world is a literal shihole, boletaria was run by slaves who were worked to death, the valley of Defilement was the place were people who were unluck to be born or catch unknown diseases were trown away.

Latria was built with the ideia to imprisioning and torturing people at the drop of a hat if they went against the queen.

The world of demons souls was already a living hell long before the demons came, that why the evil ending is the best one, no one will have to live suffering with the fear that the old will rise agian, because this time everthing will be over.

If you chose the good ending you are just trying to heal a corpse with dirty bandages.

Astrea was the only hero in that story

If you're not fast rolling remove your equipment and dodge his stomps and strikes, two hand your weapon and attack his feet whenever you feel you can. Trying to block him is pretty much suicide.

You have to pay attention to the arrows more than you do the Tower Knight himself. Sprinting is more economical when it comes to avoiding attacks here, so the idea is that you sprint to avoid slews of arrows, roll to avoid the more accurate ones, and attack the Tower Knight whenever you can.
