Kid Icarus Uprising doesn't stop the game to make you listen to people. KIU utilizes voice acting in a way a traditional Zelda game can never do.

That's why voice acting would be awful in Zelda: you'd read a textbox in a second and then feel obligated to listen to some guy finish reading. Eventually you'd get tired of the voice acting and just skip through everything.

In this case, it's a Musou game (as people are finally realizing) with a limited cast, no online support, and DLC.

It's not necessarily a bad game, but the "hype" was for potential it didn't meet. Characters were left out (quite a few of them), gameplay wasn't anything new, graphics are shit for current gen, etc etc etc.
