The reason why I think buffering is a good idea is because it takes the focus off of frame perfect execution so you can focus more on your tactics and spacing and whatever other details you can think of. Project M can never get more than 46 characters. The clone engine works by replacing the unfinished characters in brawl, and there is only 7 of those. Brawl is limited to only 46 character slots, to add more, you need to use a different clone engine from what the Project M devs are using, which they will not use because it has many flaws that doesn't meet their standards.
