Try to convince me that Mother isn't the best JRPG franchise of all time
Protip: You can;t
But I respect your opinion if you're favorite is different than mine
I wanted to disagree with you OP, but after thinking about it, yeah it is.
Your mother isn't the best at anything except giving head
Mother 1: sucks fucking major balls
Mother 2: oh god this is amazing
Mother 3: such a great story with such deep meaning and symbolism, could need a little fixing in the rpg gameplay though
Only mother i played was earthbound and it wasn't really for me, i enjoyed the humour though.
Chrono trigger is still my favourite rpg of all time, although i can't play it anymore because i played it to death when i first bought it
i started earthbound on my snes emulator on my 3ds and eventually after like 2 hours i decided to play chrono trigger DS and i haven't gone back to earthbound yet
chrono trigger is really really good
not to say i wasn't having fun with earthbound, but it didn't have the same effect of pulling me back to game as chrono trigger does right now
ill probably go back to earthbound after i beat chrono trigger though
>I'm genuinely underaged!
Hasn't aged well and nes RPGs or any other RPGs in that era weren't very good in the first place, the genre wasn't very understood or mastered yet. Take off your nostalgia goggles for a sec here
But... games like Dragon Quest III are still considered classics.
Anyway thanks for confirming you're too young and lack the ability to appreciate games that are older than you.
>nes RPGs or any other RPGs in that era weren't very good in the first place
Wow, what a faggot. I bet you also think RPGs that cemented the genre, such as Ultima or Wizardry are also bad because "they're too old, you need to take off your nostalgia goggles".
Stop being an ignorant kid, games don't need pretty graphics in order to be good. Also, I bet you get intimidated by random encounters, what a pussy.
Well i have never played it so it clearly sucks
Too bad the Souls series was exhausted to death in a lapsus of 5 years, I'm burned out already. Plus, they aren't THAT great, millenials just exaggerate the difficulty thing because they weren't used to play harder, older games.
Thanks for reminding me that I still haven't finished Mother 1. I should get on that.
I know, but they got popular because the media was pushing the "hard" thing. Remember the PC version of Dark Souls was called "prepare to die edition"?
Again, they aren't even that great, just alright.
It's difficult to pick a favorite with this series. It's like asking me to choose between my favorite child.
Replaying through this now and I recently got Ana to join me. This game's soundtrack is fantastic.
