Toppest of lels, m8.
Please recommend me some good 3DS games.
I'm not a picky bitch, anon. I'll play anything that's good, even JRPGs.
Bravely Default fluctuates in quality but it's a very nice experience, download the amazing demo first if you want to try it.
Monster Hunter is, as usual, niche as fuck but really fun. Don't let /v/ convince you otherwise: Circle Pad Pro is little more than a convenience, the game plays just fine without it.
The MGS 3 port is pretty
solid, a few fps issues aside.
Animal Crossing is, well, Animal Crossing, comfy and lighthearted as ever.
There's Pokemon, of course, but the newest version is almost insultingly easy, though it looks really nice.
Dilon's Rolling Western is pretty fun, has some nice gameplay and looks incredible, even the 3D is good.
Oh, and A Link Between Worlds is pretty good too, and that's coming from someone who didn't even finish ALTTP.
Thanks, anon. I don't even have a 3DS yet, so I'm taking as many recs as I can get. I hate buying things so I always need constant reassurance.
I feel ya, I mull over my purchases for weeks before caving.
Also, I hear Kid Icarus is enjoyable, but I've never tried it.
And, of course, there's the upcoming Super Smash, which is showing some promise.
Despite what people say, I still loved 999 more. It's objectively a good game, though, so go play it before you get spoiled.
Try Amazon. If that's too pricey for you, then buy it digitally.

not trying to hijack your thread or anything but
>tfw bought a normal 3ds cause i thought the xl would be too big
>mfw using my friends with my r4
>that somewhat comfy d pad
im gonna gift one of y other friends my 3ds and get myself an xl also outstanding pic op
Only get Pokemon X/Y if you're into competitive battling or catching them all. The story is ridiculously easy and might as well be a long tutorial, and the only postgame is a small bit of
pretty decentside-story and the Battle Maison.
Otherwise, wait until ORAS.
But what about the fast moving on rail gameplay and on foot fights involving shooting arrows? What about the very fast, very frequent talking that occurs as you do fights?
Kid Icarus Uprising is a lot like Star Fox games, except with maybe more talking.
Why is this allowed?
This gif reminded me of that one bugs bunny gif
Luigi's Mansion, Animal Crossing, Pokémon, Bravely Default, anything Atlus, Professor Layton, Kid Icarus, Mario Kart, anything Zelda, Fire Emblem, Etrian Oddesy, Rune Factory, the usual Mario plataforms, Zero Escape if you played 999, the latest Kirby, Smash is coming out soon, Monster Hunter, Kingdom Hearts.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some. Also keep in mind you have the entire DS library plus nice stuff in the eshop.
>mfw the only games I want are ports, remakes, JP-only, Kid Icarus, or not out yet
Are there any hidden gems in the eShop or something? Whatever's not on the /v/ recommendation wikia. I'm pretty much playing emulated DS games exclusively after New Leaf failed to keep my interest as much as the GC title. Kid Icarus and Star Fox should keep me going for a while but I fear not for long. Might check out Denpa Men as well.
Also should I get MonHun or wait till I get a Wii U and get that version?
If you got the balls to solo MH3U on a 3DS go for it, singleplayer gets boring if you've tasted multiplayer - this preps you for MH4U when it comes out next year.
Otherwise if you want multiplayer you might as well get the Wii U.
>3DS games thread
>No one suggests Senran Kagura
>mfw I paid 30 and didn't give a fuck
Lemme guess, you want your games to focus on story.
I need this cleared up. I've been wanting to get Kid Icarus but after seeing shit like Liam from Super Best Friends break his fucking hand from playing it, I've kind of been put off. How do I avoid my hand shattering?
Virtues Last Reward
Mario 3D Land
Fire Emblem Awakening (not as good as the previous ones but still good)
Devil Survivor Overclocked
Etrian Oddyssey 4
Kid Icarus Uprising
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is great, go get it!
>that fucking scropion that has a smaller monster on it's back that breaks away and flies around
i swear to god if we don't get at least the mario and legend of zelda items, i understand not getting the one piece ones but those two are from nintendo themselves.
just a question, but why did /v/ suddenly backlash against games having stories? I mean obviously gameplay should come first, but what's wrong with giving more substance to the game
because the recent trend is to sacrifice gameplay in favor of story, games like the last of us and gone home are being praised while games like shovel knight(best example i can think of) are being pretty much ignored.
