What is the comfiest game locations/music?
>pic and link related
That jazzy soundtrack and the little small talk and texting stuff was nice and comfy for me
I remember going under the covers on my DS and going to the cafe in AC:WW and having a coffee and just sitting there listening to the music and close my eyes. Shit was the best
>it's raining outside
>come in for a nice hot bowl of noodles
dammit man why didn't the second game have anything similar
I'm hearing very good stuff from the developers that the atmosphere of the third game will be like the frist
thank op i fapped and cum so hard but it was embarrassing because a flock of crows was watching me the whole time. now the crows haunt my waking nightmares and have begun locking with each other, claw in beak, wing wedged in tail, as a sort of living breathing garment. the black mass has changed my skin from a beautiful tan to a nearly transparent thick and slow moving solid which leaves bone and muscle exposed if any crow is removed. my parents and friends think i’m dead. maybe i am. what’s left of me only knows that the flock is forever hungry. my thoughts and actions are no longer my own. goodbye
It's going to be fucking amazing. The next 8 months is going to be pain.
Whilst TW2 didn't have anything that reached the Atmosphere in TW1.. I still think there was a couple of great atmospheric/comfy moments.
Vergen was pretty neat and the outskirts of Loc Muinne too.
I know many people don't agree, but I honestly found those locations in TW2 still pretty close to TW1 atmosphere, but the rest of it was definitely lacking.
Lake Calenhad in DAO
While an abandoned city caught in an alien invasion doesn't really lend itself to comfy, there is something oddly serene about New Mombasa.
First character was a Night Elf. I don't think I'll ever forget the starting zone tune. Always a massive twang of Nostalgia.
Thankfully Music is still something that Blizzard does well. I'm keen to hear more of the WoD tracks just to see how they go about re-capturing that TBC feel.
I love it when it rains in the game.
There are literally two animal crossing posts in the thread
This whole island was comfy as fuck.
something more niche
Megaman battle network
At home was the most comfiest thing ever
I still maintain that those who thing WoW's world was atmospheric and inspiring never played FFXI.
I'm not sure if this version was used in any of the Phoenix Wright games, but I just can't get enough of it
So what, if you played FFXI it now means that WoW is not atmospheric and/or inspiring?
You can't like both? You can't think both are atmospheric?
I only had one friend who played FFXI, so we didn't end up playing for that long. However everyone I knew got into WoW when it launched and we were big fans of the RTS games, which made it resonate more with me, but the music in both is great.
It's my favorite of all time. It's just so good and wonderful and everything!
I wake up to this every day niggas. Only con is that it's got no bridge.
Shigesato Itoi poured his heart out in this game. He's talked about in interviews that he wrote all the dialogue and he'd often get teary eyed when writing the dialogue for a lot of the characters, especially Giygas.
I really want to see him make more series.
>you will never board a ship in Selbina and travel to a new continent for the first time again
you will never get attacked by pirates while doing so again either
The base in Suikoden 5
Every town at night in Dragon Quet 8
OP i just went full comfy. I really like this music.
I remember hearing this for the first time and i sat back to enjoy it. It was the same night my Mom asked me to teach her how to play. She didn't do well but she was a raging drunk and it felt nice that she cared to try to get involved in what i like.
Every night song in Sonic Unleashed is pure comfy
"GAIA: Finished recording... Continue your journey?
GAIA: Then rest a while.
>taking pictures of animals in the sunset
Epic Yarn is Comfy: The Game. You just can't feel angry/sad when you play this.
Love em, hate em, or IT, for that matter, they still make some of the best music in the entire industry.
>All that Pandaria Music
Look it's not bad, it's actually still quite nice, but the utter lack of anything from WOTLK and Vanilla there and all that Pandaria stuff is disturbing.
WOTLK/TBC/Vanilla stuff was still much better than Cata/MOP.
I have high hopes for WoD Music though with Jason Hayes coming back.
>tfw we're all going to make it
Check this out then
the king's back baby
I did include stuff from BC too.... here have WoD Music
More comfy than a mountain of your favorite blanky.
I broke up with the gf i love today, i need some cuddles tho :o(
>dat throwback to portal log-in
>no flying mounts
>having to ride to dungeon entrances again/put groups together
holy fuck blizz
my dick is so hard right now
was this posted?
I am liking it so far, hopefully the rest is as good.
Just sad that the TBC Music was getting outnumbered by Pandaria stuff and there was not a single Vanilla/WOTLK tune on the list.
C'mon, you know it's going to be shit. I just grab the Music and enjoy it, that and their CGI is literally the only decent stuff to still come out of WoW.
Spongebob games are always comfy
Get that pleb shit outta here.
I agree. Just how the game takes its time to have a break and chat with you about how you have changed throughout your journey is just magical. I really, REALLy hope Itoi considers a new Mother game soon.
>Earthbound had a theme of overtaking an alien threat
>Mother 3 was about changing societies, modernization and loss
What would you want Mother 4 to be like?
I heard Ronfaure played live in the Distant Worlds concert by Uematsu. Was fantastic. There are tons of comfy places in XI though. Like Heaven's Tower...
Gravity Rush is an overlooked gem of a game. It's brimming with charm.
I'm quite fond of Etrian Odyssey's Emerald Grove. Maybe not the comfiest, but I love it
It's so relaxing I almost want to take a rest in a field of flowers.
Dark Age of Camelot.
Just imagine the sun rising in the game and as it rises this starts playing http://youtu.be/7b-qN-TWRQA?t=18s in pic related zone.
Seriously, hnngghhh. daoc had godlike ambient cozyness. i'm tearing up.
Chrono Cross is the only game I can remember where I love every single song on it.
Warm & upbeat
I literally get chills everytime I hear this
I'm going to stop myself because I'd post every god damn song in this game here.
can't wait for 2. get your pre-orders ready
About 30 places in FFXI, this was probably the comfiest piece in the game. Easy links would be Zitah, Bastok/Windurst themes, or any of the boat and airship themes.
>All this comfy locations
This is some super fucking comfy shit.
These people just sat around, chilling out, doing nothing. All day. In their virtual world.
Most of the interesting shit happens at like 28 minutes in.
Some spider shenanigans.
I want this as a stage in kerfuffle.
>No work tomorrow
>No classes either
>Teaching people on /x/ how to lucid dream properly
>Listening to comfy music on /v/
>Cats asleep on my bed behind me
It's like this night can't even get any better.
She was a bitch and a whore. Have some comfy to make you feel better
>Highly Responsive to Prayers - Eternal Shrine Maiden
>Atelier Ayesha - Hanashirube
>Final Fantasy III - The Boundless Ocean
>star out in Sandy
>drops me in the port
>run some errands for a guy in a warehouse and get a wooden shield
>over the years buy a bunch of furniture to put in my house so I always have space
>10 years later I still had it tucked in the top drawer of my bedside table just in case
>head out for one last adventure and tell my Mog to look after the house for when I get home again
>It will always be there waiting for me, perfectly maintained and looked after
XIV having you live in Inn Rooms was a terrible decision.
>getting rain in June
Must be nice. I'm not so lucky in California.
It's such a short one, but one that will always stick with me.
>trekking through river
>sniped by jackal
Goddamn I forgot how awesome that song was
The Halo series would be so awesome if it didn't have to be such a generic FPS to sell
Here, have another good ass song in return
Holy Fuck Comfy as all fuck. Good memories
I came here after doing a dungeon to relax and look at the map chill as fuck.
Nothing beats this
Yes, you the faglord who posted that gif.
Do you even know what does it mean? Its history? Where does it come from?
If you want to.
th-that was my highschool, it may seems violent but its a male only highschool and they're all total bros. I still missed it ;_;
Borderlands 2 has such an underrated soundtrack.
"To complete your trial, I am going to break your legs"
Earthbound was fucking great but I wouldnt call it cozy, just like I wouldn't call an acid recreational drug though I immensly enjoyed both things.
Still alive? That's good.
>walking around in your snuggly power suit while it's -700 outside
>hot cocoa being tubed into your mouth
>blanket simulators at full power
Comfy as fuck.
That's almost dangerously comfy
I like listening to this as I drift off to sleep and the section itself was a nice peaceful break from the rest of the dark and twisted areas
it's a really beautiful tune to say it plays before you enter an unforgiving and dangerous world
Sorry man, I just couldn't stand FLUDD. Felt like it was there because someone decided that creativity was more important than fun.
I loved those levels that were just a bunch of floating platforms in space (when you didn't have FLUDD). If the whole game was like that I would've enjoyed it more.
Galaxy was kinda like that but less about the challenge and more about SPACE, so despite enjoying it a lot I think I would've liked a game made up of Sunshine's bonus levels way more
-Bioshock Infinite before shit gets crazy
-Ocarina of Time Kakariko
-AC4 shanty songs while sailing
-Borderlands 2: Moxxxi's
maximum level comfiness.
>Galaxy was kinda like that but less about the challenge and more about SPACE, so despite enjoying it a lot I think I would've liked a game made up of Sunshine's bonus levels way more
Right, the one possible thing that sentence could infer is that I can only enjoy challenging blank spaces with floating platforms. Literally the only possible thing that sentence could mean.
>I would've liked a game made up of Sunshine's bonus levels way more
>The only way you can have fun is with challenging platforming in an empty space
You don't see how dumb you are to think these statements are equivalent?
>I would have liked this type of game more
>I only like this time of game
Man this shit was just so amazing in 2004. People forget there was a genuinely good reason to play a NE: Darnassus and Ashenvale music/area aesthetic.
Hell I even enjoyed darkshore.
>Chilling in one of the guilds whilst it's raining outside in Gridania.
I think I remember sitting in my room and just listening to this theme for over and hour, when I first heard it.
Tera may not be the best MMO out there, but it sure has some comfy places and music.
No matter how lost I got, I always felt warm and cozy on this level
You can say what you want about Maplestory but it sure had some comfy locations/music. Too bad the game went to shit when Nexon took over.
This is one of the few games I feel really nostalgic for because it reminds me of better times I guess.
you bitches will never learn
I'll stop spamming Maplestory now.
This game had quite a few comfy locations. Some might say this was Columbia before Columbia.
Neverwinter Nights Docks,
I guess I'm the only[PC] oldfag around
Azalea town niggas.
Snug up against a lush forest
Got a well filled with slowpoke bros
Chillin with the gramps that made you pokeballs
I spent a lot of time here...
This game in general is comfy
For extra points, notice the still bound-up Ursula (BoFIV's Vegeta) sitting away from the fire, behind the tent
>That feel when you cautiously approach her, to offer her dinner, and she arrogantly accepts, blushing slightly.
