Why are games nowadays so easy? I just played Castlevania IV and Contra III and was surprised by the difficulty. Are kids just getting dumber and dumber?

I just love this game
Right now it has been released on steam and It's starting to get popular as time passes
So the game is not really a game but a 3d desktop. You can alt tab out of it at any time and the game won't even lag other games. As of right now you can't play other source engine games like tf2 and left 4 dead 2 while playing it since anarchy arcade is made in source engine but the developer will make that possible...somehow. You can add any shortcut , any prop and any map that relates to source engine (gmod for example) the shortcuts are just shortcuts, you can add arcades then add pictures to them and customize them then just click on them and press play and the game starts and anarchy arcade pauses and stops all memory going or leaving it making it not lag. You can also add posters and pictures from your computer or from the internet. You can get your friends together in a room and stay on the couch in the virtual 3d desktop and watch someone stream it's game on twitch or listen to some music that your buddy wants to share. You can add collections of physical 3d albums on your walls and floor and you can listen to them at any time but the thing is that multiplayer isn't added yet :(. If Player A is using a top tier character, and player B is using a low tier character, and they have a best two out of three set, with player A narrowly taking the set 2 - 1, does that mean Player B was outplaying Player A despite losing?

Delete /v/, make /wv/ (western vidya) and /jv/) (jap vidya). /v/ being one board makes as much sense as /a/ and /co/ being one board.

Overtime, as a compromise, /wv/ can settle on a consensus for exceptions, things they want to discuss without the /jv/ population (i.e. Zelda, MGS, Megaman etc). I think this is in the best interest of both boards.

I'm done with the Souls series.
Call me a casual all you want but frankly, those games are fucking garbage.
First I started with Demon's Souls, the most niche since it appears only
on PS3 so I expected a certain level of quality... I was wrong.

Almost immediately the game dissappoints me on it's delivery, the character rather than running slides, making him look like an autist on rollerblades. Very irrealistic for
a game that gets namedropped for the "awesum atmosphere!!!!".
I got killed by the huge "boss" monster and "blahblah ur supposed to huehuehue", well get fucked, it's shit.
I manage to understand how to enter stages after 10 minutes of running around with no indications whatsoever despite there being like five people there. Apparently it's a hub-world kind of deal (1999 called they want their mechanics back).

Long story short, I got literally killed like 60 times and apparently I was supposed to reach a boss...
This game isn't "hardcore" it's plain frustrating, it isn't "atmosferic" because graphics and movement
feel like they are ripped from a PS1, it isn't "fun" unless you hate yourself but still need that sweet nerd cred to feel validated.
