Being a niche anime has downsides, but there are some upsides as well. For example the fanbase is smaller so het artists are few and Aikatsu is one of the anime in recent memory to get more yuri doujins than het.

Well you're not gonna make us talk about your anime no matter how hard you try. Even though I'm doing it with you. If it's a shoujo kids' show that isn't Precure or Sailor Moon, chances are /u/ won't be picking it up. Precure and Sailor Moon delivered important stuff for yuri such as Haruka/Michiru and Nagisa/Honoka. Aikatsu, not so much. It's a generic shoujo idol anime like Pretty Rhythm and PriPara, which means there's gonna be obvious het and pretty boys. So why are you baiting us, just to waste our time?

Nice delusions, buddy. I have known Aikatsu since OG and based on what I have seen from places like Pixiv, the het fanbase is almost as big as the yuri fanbase. The het wasn't that significant until S3 came along. In fact, one het pairing is more popular than the majority of the yuri pairings, at least according to Pixiv. Which is why Stars had more males and het and Sunrise isn't going to ignore them anytime soon. Cherry-picking only the good stuff and luring us to a false hope is sad and pathetic.

Aikatsu really has bases, not only the typical subtext, Yurika is an example too strong and that is something rare considering the target public, but in the end they have more Yuri than LWA.

It's funny how Aikatsu has been in decay since the "het" is more pronounced. Things are really bad since S3, but Star just got worse. But for some reason since Stars S2 things improved a bit, also mysteriously the "het" with Subaru were practically removed (but Ako continues to stink).
It is as if that numerous public that does het in Pixiv does not serve as a shit for the franchise.

The number of Doujins does not really define much, Gochi also have a large majority of Yuri on Het and the series is also quite Yuri friendly.

I'm not going to defend Shin's behavior, as it particularly angers me to comment on the Raws the next day that I watch the subtitled episodes. But Aikatsu does not deserve to be hated just for that, Idol does not mean strictly Yuri, but some cases if they are and neither deserve to be hated just for being Idol, just like the SOL.

Complain about small things, but glorify a series that does not deserve anything of affection like LWA.

The problem is when it attacks other franchises (which are more Yuri) without any real reason, even if it is active in LWA and NTR is not a good sign either.

I don't think Shizuma even can compare to shamelessly telling your mother, the head of Miator, and a large gathering of students that she wishes to make all of Le Rim her harem, not to mention all the shady dealing she does throughout the whole novel.

The bad parts of Citrus was always that A: Mei was less an actual character than someone who always did whatever lead to the maximum amount of drama at any moment, and B: there was a peculiar number of characters who inexplicably had something big against one of the main characters, or were just evil assholes for the sake of it.
