I have heard that White Angels is one of those where none of the characters are likeable. And now I kind of understand why.

She gets bullied and she does absolutely nothing. Worse than that, the bullies are obviously scared of making a scene so she for no reason at all follows them to desolate places.

So I just marathoned the whole thing. I like it a lot even though none of the characters are likeable.

She's just a stupid bitch with no real friends and nobody to help her out because she acts so obnoxiously. In fact just a chapter after this picture she opens up to her unnie. But just when she had the chance to redeem herself she went back to her old obnoxious self and also antagonized her unnie.

I think it's funny how effortlessly Yeonhwa the albino messes around with everyone, even unnie Minhye. They have it coming.

For a while it looked like Dahye the blonde bullie had stolen the title of protagonist as she the domina got dominated by a bigger fish and the entire story was about her. I even started to like her because she was forced to redeem herself. But as soon as the albino went crazy for her lost sister and stopped taking care of Dahye, she returned to her old self but even worse.

Now I fully support Yeonhwa and hope she keeps making the Yang sisters suffer. I don't even want a happy end for them anymore even though they will get it. The unnie is so weak. She should beat some sense into her whiny little Dayhe instead of letting it out on Yeonhwa. Blondie got a really nasty personality and there is no excuse for that.

Did you miss pic related? You probably did. Whenever Yeonhwa calls her up she must come immediately. This was shown on their first date.

No. She absolutely hates it. Dahye's character revolves around the emotional circulation of her daily life. Her dad frustrates her so she takes it out on the MC and she hangs out with lesser bitches because she has inferiority complex from her sister. Yeonhwa completely robs her of this and leaves her isolated from every side.
She blackmails her which robs her of her power, then in turn she threatens her with violence if she doesn't stop smoking, which in turn makes her more distant to her lackeys and finally she even further fractures her relationship with her sister.

It's a great and fun story of an anti-hero and a sympathetic villain. Even though they're vicious the cause and effect of their behavior is grounded and well developed. Dahye is suffering from a karmic whiplash, sure, but I still feel sorry for her and we're yet to fully see Yeonhwa's reasons for her socipathy. She obviously feels abandoned in some way which is why she "collects property".

You obviously missed her relationship with her sister. The unconditional love is one sided. Dahye started resenting her sister for leaving her and their father basically made a rivals out of them. Yeah that's her character. She now feels guilty for leaving her and in her case blood is much thicker than water. She doesn't care about her sister being a bully, she'll support her through everything. Minhye completely adores her and can see no fault in her. She even calls her her "princess".

This is why it's heartbreaking to see them grow even colder than before after Yeonhwa intervenes.

Again, Dahye is not a good person, I never claimed that she was. She herself has suffered and in turn she was letting it out on somebody else. That's really common in real life. I really don't know which pairings will reach fruition. There's a couple of possibilities and various characters have cute dynamics and chemistry with each other. Okay I just caught up on chapters 54 and 55 and I am kinda pissed.

Sue is such a bitch. First the huge reveal of the forged documents. If not for those, Lynn, instead of getting machines implanted, would have gotten the heart. This was a very dangerous and unnecessary operation. She was literally messing around with Lynn's life just because of her egocentrism.

Then the usually strong and stubborn Lynn completely changes character and pussies out so easily not even Sue can believe it (pic related). And Mel just accepts it. Why are they so weak all of a sudden?

I'm pretty sure Kang Sang (?) wants Moon in some capacity, as it seems that she "used" him in some way or another. My own take is that Kang Sang is supposed to have been a link to further get to Gu's dad, the president, but something might've leaked and things have taken a rocky turn.

I am in the middle of reading Her Pet. And I already like it a lot. It may be my new favorite. Everything is done well so far. It does not have any over the top shit such as abuse or crazy revenge like it is often the case, yet it is still very engaging. Even the bully is likeable. I don't think I have ever seen such a good bully background before.

Very refreshing to just have a good and solid story that does not rely on cheap tricks and craziness.

What I liked a lot is that self righteous fuckers got called out on their shit.

An example is pic related. Soha's mom scolds her for rescuing Gayoon and Sol from bullies and not letting the teachers handle it. However, the teachers did nothing, nobody did anything. Only violence worked and solved everything. She's keeping it real. This is how life works. You can't rely on others. You have to fight for yourself.

An other example is Minji. She was friends with Yurim but then trash talked her after she lost a boxing match out of carelessness. Of course Yurim got upset about that. But then Minji completely overreacted, stabbed her in the back and got all bullies and slowly the entire school to torment her because Yurim was too pacifistic. And when Yurim finally fights back after being pushed down the stairs Minji acts all holier than thou, claiming that she suffered too, that she only wanted to "teach her a lesson" and not let things escalate. It was extremely satisfying that Yurim then punished Minji for literally ruining her life.

I also liked when Gayoon finally expressed her dissatisfaction with her relationship with Soha and Soha finally realized what a self-absorbed cunt she was the entire time.

This is very rare. That actions have consequences, that characters fight for themselves. That they keep it 'real' with each other. Very refreshing change from easily 99% of other comics where this is not the case.

I also liked the implied beginning of a relationship between Horang and Sian at the end. They are different but very similar. They both are mature and have a good understanding of other people. Horang is the prettiest of all girls but Sian isn't too bad herself if she tries.

Anyway, I wholeheartedly recommend everyone here to read Her Pet. I was sceptical because of the name and hesitated for a long time but it turned out to blow me away and be much better than expected with yuri relationships that have actual depth.

Here's Horang and Sian. Anyway, Sian probably had unrequited feelings for Yurim. But after Yurim gets sent to a different school, Yurim ends all contact wit her. Sian believes that Horang is like her and got Soha stolen from her. They definitely have many similarities and are kinda cute together. So in my head they end up getting closer to each other.

Here my opinion on some of the more noteworthy newest chapters:

Pulse: Finally doing a turn towards the better. If Mel had not stopped sleeping around again I could not have forgiven this shit. The comic took a steep dive towards the worse in the most recent chapters so I am glad to see it has finally stopped.

Third Party: Gu should just have told Moon. But no, of course she didn't. I should not expect those two bitches to become likeable characters.

I dropped Serenade the first time I tried it. Now giving it an other go. This shit really bothers me. There is probably some bullshit excuse later on for this, how Park family is very influential so she can coerce the blonde professor Jin into this or maybe something happened in the past. However, this is just bullshit.

I hate Jin for accepting all this and not doing anything. She's a weak bitch. The only character I like is Yeonju but I would have liked this comic a lot more if Yeonju got paired with someone else, not this retarded professor.

Chapters 20 and 21 are an other beauty.

Crazy rapes the professor in her music room when it was supposed to be the protag's music lesson. But crazy barged in and manipulated weak protag into hating her only friend and run away crying. WDTFS is like that early on. However, it gets better after Sumin messes up and cheats on Sungji with Seju. Ever after that she stayed loyal and the characters have become more likeable. I am not someone to forgive bad past behavior but WDTFS has become decent.

Honestly I don't understand this endless revenge and crazy woman drama cliché. I like characters who stick up for themselves, which is why I think WDTFS has become much better. Sungji stopped being a pushover stupid blondie. Unfortunately the only korean webcomic where characters actually stand up for themselves is 'Her Pet'.

Y'know what would make me really like Serenade? If Yeonju would stop obsessing about the professor, finally open her eyes to the true Hee-Eun, dump all her trashy 'friends' and look for her own path to success.

In my eyes the professor is irredeemably ruined. And so is Yeji for being a backstabbing bitch. If Yeonju keeps associating herself with such trashy people she is trash herself.

Yeonju is basically a child of a poor family with heartless mother, with a silly backstory on how she got into piano which conveniently binds her to the professor. She is a naive dumbass but the only one who can still be redeemed.

Unfortunately it is obvious that this will not happen.

Serenade in itself is not bad. It's just that the characters are all so obnoxious they make the WAHNW cast look loveable.

I wish there were more artists like Pito. His comics are full of cuteness and loveable characters on all fronts, yet still have intense conflicts that keep you on the edge.
