Well, the point of that chapter was to show that some dragons don't believe that Kobayashi and Tooru could be platonic friends. Iruru turns Kobayashi into a man to prove that Kobayashi must be lusting after Tooru.The gag is that none of Kobyashi's coworkers realize that she's a man. Kobayashi gets aroused at Kanna rubbing against her and notices that Tooru smells really good. When Tooru admits that she knew all along that Kobayashi had a penis since Iruru cast the spell on her, she immediately gets undressed and tries to fuck Kobayashi, but Kobayashi immediately goes limp upon seeing Tooru's naked body. Highlights are when Tooru defeats and mentally scars a dragon that came to fight Iruru, and I thought the scene where Kobayashi defends Iruru and really thinks she's about to be killed was well done. I wouldn't mind it being animated, because it does show that Kobayashi is willing to get hurt to teach the dragons that there's more to life than fighting.

Kyoani didn't just increase Shouta's appearance. They increased everyone, and especially expanded the role of Kanna and Saikawa to have a much bigger role in the anime than in the manga. You could argue that Shouta's and Lucoa's added screentime are too limited to gags and thus aren't substantial, but I don't think they're distracting to the show as a whole.

Instead of being a short arc 1episode with only Tooru and Kobayashi being the main role, now it turned serious drama with everyone involved, Iruru bring the chaos dragon faction trying to frame Tooru as traitor and Kobayashi literally go fist to fist against Tooru father and Iruru.

Just like Zvezda Plot anime, man I hate that transition.

I would rather see Tooru give in to her animalistic urges and go into heat. She would then viciously rapes Kobayashi when she comes home from work. Kobayashi turns pale as she realizes that she just ate her interspecies rape child. Tooru unleashes a fire blast that scorches the planet and kills everyone except for Kanna and Fafnir, who use their powers to save Saikawa and Takiya, respectively. Tooru opens a dimensional portal back to her realm, but stops short of going in. Fafnir asks her if she is going to go back home, but Tooru says that she belongs in the world that her lover lived in, even the planet is now a smoking wasteland. The rest return to the dragon realm and live happily ever after.
