The current Apex tournaments have shown she is very viable.

Before Ana came out, the combo in game of Pharah and Mercy was a really good meta.

Mercy can float around Pharah healing her and giving her a damage boost.

A damage boosted Pharah ult can melt Rein's shield and annihilate the enemy team.

After Ana came out it's show that Pharah at least met Mercy when they were younger. So you have that hot older girl teaching the younger girl about her budding sexuality. They're only 5 years apart in age.

Pharah and Mercy combo were never in the meta even before Ana because McHitscan, and Widow, were huge threats. Even on console. Its rarely used.

Pharmercy exists because people like the blond/brunette combo of two conventionally attractive women. They both happen to fly in the sky together and get High Noon'd together.

I'm sure she simply stole the plans from whatever system Winston was storing them on and made some slight modifications herself or had someone else do it for her. I'm more interested in how Tracer knows about her having it in the first place. Seems like Sombra's been taunting her personally for a while.

Also, if Sombra has the translocator, you'd think Talon would as well, or at least the ability to manufacture them. I can understand Sombra using Talon to further her own goals but I'd imagine keeping the translocation tech under wraps would be pretty difficult considering she uses it on field operations.

Talon seems advanced enough that they probably don't need her tech or perhaps they're the ones who supplied her in the first place.

They turned a normal woman into a literal cold-hearted killer with no real side-effects that we know of so it's certainly within the realms of possibility that they helped create the translocator.
