"Best friends forever" is over, epilogue got published a while ago. It is so rare to see a fic get finished, I'm used to fics getting canceled/hiatus forever. It was a good story. I expected it to go differently (not sure how), but this way was good too.

The main issue I had with this chapter was the guild's resolution to keep the forbidden information in the library secret. Sure, that's all well and good for now, but eventually other Sages are going to max out and take the trial. So it's only a matter of time before all the potentially dangerous information comes out.

The reason why there's few digital doujins is because events are generally what motivate doujin creation in the first place, so of course you'd make physical copies for that purpose. Well thanks for uploading it. I don't get what you are trying to say though. The number of patrons going down next month is absolutely obvious and has nothing to do with that decision. Her patrons trippled last month because of 1 time supporters that just wanted said doujin. She shouldn't have put it as patreon reward to begin with and just sold it separately, like any other artist would have done.

By making it a Patreon reward she set a deadline for a ton of people to hop on and pay $15 for something that may or may not have been uploaded later, that was a smart move and earned her plenty of money. I doubt she would have seen the same numbers in sales by selling it standalone for $15, even just by the amount of people that hopped on her Patreon to support her once. Especially considering the number who will stay afterwards and continue to support her monthly after having become patrons to get the doujin.

Now that someone uploaded the first one this wouldn't stay true and people wouldn't be as likely to worry about whether or not they could get it later, so it's up in the air as to whether or not that would stay smart. However, fully pulling digital doujin sales because of a single upload is hilariously silly. If someone wants to help others pirate something, pages aren't going to stop them.

It's one thing when someone scans a doujin from Japan. Here's what I've spent just this week alone, and that's not counting the 8000 yen I'm going to have to fork over for shipping.

Buying doujinshi from Japan is prohibitively expensive, and in a lot of cases they're printed in limited quantities so if you don't get it the first time you'd better hope the artist sells it again at a future convention or sells it digitally one day or chances are you'll never see it. Those are the rationale for scanning them.

Anon called it a hissy bitch fit because eliminating digital copies is not a rational, well-thought-out course of action. If she just doesn't care and wants to stick it to random people for some petty victory, then all power to her though.

Introducing hard copies is a great idea; lots of people love owning something. The problem with only offering hard copies is some people may have reasons for not wanting to own, or even being able to own a them. Those people might feel jipped if they pay the artist, or elect to not pay at all.

Whether you care about your fans or money, you shouldn't limit opportunities for the people who want to buy your thing. Just ignore the pirates.

I don't support that it got uploaded in the first place, I hate when people mess with creators that make their stuff available for everyone easily digitally. That sort of action should be rewarded, not punished. Alas, it happened anyways. But the response to that shouldn't be the removal of the digital option altogether.

This has nothing to do with making a physical version as an alternative, as some people clearly want that. However, making it the only option only makes it all that more enticing to pirate it or assist in piracy. After all, there's an abundance of reasons why one might not desire a physical copy or find it suboptimal. I know I've debinded and scanned purchased doujins of my own in the past, even if I haven't distributed them online, because I simply don't like having to go through extra hassle any time I wish to read them, and it allows me an easier analysis of the art as well. She hated her job as an office lady so what would you do, continue the job where no one even recognizes your work or the one where people go out of their way to tell you how much they love it, even if you earn less? So she tried being a full-time artist and it wasn't looking good. Only after her first big project in which she put weeks of effort things started to look up. Still a lot less than her previous job but at least enough to live off of. And the first thing she has to see is people stealing her stuff so she won't get the same amount of money next time, because people will expect it to be pirated. What is she gonna do, watch her career crumble or at least try to do something? She isn't big enough to just trust in the goodwill of her fanbase, that's 600 bucks, could you live off of 600 bucks a month? And the worst thing, I bet none of those complainers even tried to talk to her about it.

Overheat established that basically every minor variation of any ending is its own dimension and they all exist at the same time. MK2 normal ending, MK2 normal ending with 1 less maker recruited, MK2 normal with 1 other maker not recruited, etc.
So there have to be a bunch of dimensions where Nepgear ended up with Conquest. Also, some dimensions that don't have CPUs because of the original HDN1 ending. Or some hyperdimensions where Uzume is dead.
