Because it sold like shit. The character didn't sell, the writers didn't sell (which isn't surprising) and the art didn't sell (unfortunately since Lupa art is great). DC was keeping the book alive because it was Palmiotti & Conner book, any other writers would have it axed in issue 6

I think Marvel treats them worse. Carol and Jess will never become an item despite the fact that it would sell like hotcakes. And if they do have gay couples it's clearly obvious they just want to get brownie points for deversity. DC at least makes it more obvious that Ivy and Harley fuck around. Quality is debateable of course.

They were pretty close, Cass even going as far to call her her only real friend after Stephanie "died", and threatening Barbara for bringing up her "death". They moved in together in convergence, and Steph was teaching her to read. It was a cute relationship. Which is why people were upset when they barely had any interaction post flashpoint.

Bombshells is great for f/f ships. Batwoman is in a relationship with Maggie Sawyer from the beginning although that doesn't stop Catwoman from flirting with her along with a few other female characters.
