What exactly were Korra and Asami getting up to during the previous two weeks? The show gives the impression that Mako has barely spoken to either of them during that time. But Korra apparently has been tight with Asami. How did Korra first approach Asami? We see Asami admitting to Korra that everyone knew what happened between Manko and her, but how was Asami before that? Was she just so focused on supporting Korra in RC that she hadn't a chance to bring that up? Or more likely didn't want to?

I imagine Asami takes at least one week to get FI back in order. Korra is probably recuperating then too, as well as stabilizing things in the WTs. They both only take the week to do all that because they're just that amazing, and take full advantage of Bryke's inability to cobble together realistic economic/government/otherwise bureaucratic systems.

Then she says "screw friendship what I really need is a true gal pal" and starts flirting.

Dang, this doesn't fit as neatly as the Silent Hill AUs... Asami should be Alphys, but she should also be Chara. Mako fits Papyrus to a tee. All pomp and glory, but ultimately, Sans is the one that poses the true challenge. I really don't know if Tenzin or Tonraq should be Asgore.

The only Dai Li agents shown to be highly skilled are benders (actually do we even see any nonbending agents?). Also Suki does hold her own against Ty Li on rematch. And managing to take over an entire FN airship seems something only someone with very high level skill/talent can do.

Hate to break it to you, but if you have to watch it with a certain mindset in order for it to make sense, then it's poorly done. I remember watching S3 and S4 for the first time and knowing full well that Korrasami might become a thing, still none of their behavior was out of the ordinary for best friends. They had so many opportunities to break out of that mold, but they never did until the very last scene. Compare that to how obvious Korra's and Mako's feelings were for each other, and it's not even close. Took over a year to come out. Immediately pissed off all the people that were sick of Makorra, all the people that loved Makorra, all the people that loved the first season's animation, and all the people that loved Korra. The last one was my biggest issue, because she was the reason I was watching the show, and they did a lousy job portraying her understandable side of things for the first half of the season. Add in the horrible RC subplots, terrible villains, and wonky themes, and it's no surprise so many people jumped ship. Season one hadn't earned the show the right to go as far as they wanted to in Book Two.

Pretty nifty, though it just highlighted how tailor-made perfect the ending theme was for that scene. Whoever did the tempo synching and looping, if any, is pretty damn good. Couldn't hear any abrubt cuts.

I greatly prefer the original cause holy shit it's just too fucking good. Always loved the sound of erhu and the LoK theme just nails it. The percussion in that piece is perfect too.

Ditto, but I think the Avatar finale ending theme resonates a lot. Shows what a great composer Jeremy Zuckerman is.

One thing about the LoK finale theme is that you're very unlikely to ever confuse it with anything else.

"Make everyone gay" is something that befalls a lot of fandoms that involve one main /u/ couple though. Like Nanoha.

To be fair, pretty much every girl in Nanoha is pretty gay. Like Sailor Moon, it isn't a hard stretch to just pair any of the girls off with each other. It's much more annoying in series like LoK where the "pair the (gay) spares" don't even interact, and make zero sense.

Plenty of "prospects" - pretty much all the girls have really gay interactions with other girls. Which is to be expected, because the entire series is pretty much all girls, interacting with other girls. (I'm ignoring Force, because it's shit.) So theres plenty there to "build" ships, unlike KyaLin.

RL speaking it's actually more unusual to have that one gay (friend) couple amidst a bunch of heteros, because those of like minds (so to speak) tend to migrate to each other. But ignoring that, since that doesn't apply to the senshi, the point isn't "the gay odds, realistically" but rather "sure, there's enough canon basis for this couple to form."

Like I said, as long as there's a believable basis, it's fine. KyaLin has zero believable basis, even if you take Bryke's throwaway line that Kya is gay as canon. Most of the other girls in Nanoha and SM? Have actual on screen friendships (and quite a bit of subtext or even over flirting) with each other which make pairing them actually within the realm of possibility. It doesn't really feel like "pandering" then.
