Many years ago, due to people being worried about Batman and Robin being perceived as gay, DC made Batwoman and Batgirl as counterparts to Batman and Robin respectively. Batwoman disappeared from the comics eventually, but was brought back a few years back as a lesbian socialite which is kinda funny because she was made to stop gay rumors.

Oh, yeah, Catwoman also had a really good recent run and in it she is bi and has a female love interest.

Recently grabbed what I believe to be all the current issues of Starfire's ongoing. I don't have too much hope since Grayson is on the cover of the current one but still fingers crossed. Also grabbed Harley's comic since I heard so much about it.

Starfires book is what the Harley Quinn book should have been, and I am saying that as a Harleyfan. The book is full of beautiful art and some nice moments, you won't get dissapointed. Harley book is bad to mediocre. Don't get to carry away with the Grayson issues, to my opinion the Grayson issues are okay doesn't go too far from the main story

Come to think of it wasn't she also supposedly pregnant in Arkham games. And the upcoming movie I heard she is supposed to be in a love triangle which I'm guessing will be between Joker and Deadshot because that's who she is hooking up with in SS comics and Ivy isn't even in the movie as far as I can tell.
In comics she eventually ditches them both and goes to live with Ivy but it's very doubtful the movie will go anywhere near that development.
This sucks. The Harley comics have always been full of subtext and text but except the animated series it doesn't translate to other media.

Disagree, I think she is one of the most interesting Gotham characters altogether.
It's just that around Harley most of the complexity of her character comes out most.

I don't think she was lusting after Batman's D because she actually liked him. She just uses sex appeal and sex to control and get what she wants from people. Otherwise she hates most humans, men especially. In most continuities, not only the newest one, it's established that Harley is the only person she genuinely cares about and that's why she actually won't mind control her.
