Yeah those too. Pretty much they put it out with some pretty heavy subtext to make it obvious to adults or teens who pick up on it. But unlike Nick, they don't want to come out and confirm it. It would be a better fucking couple then KorraxAsam though. But like any viewing company-- they worry about loosing viewers or their parents not letting them watch it and loosing profit.

They seem more like they went through a bad brakeup or almost got to that point of dating and PB seemed too busy with her kingdom and responsibilities at the time for them to be together. And Marci seems to maybe resent PB for it. But PB gets defensive about having to do all her responsibilities and then they start fighting. So either they haven't confessed yet but want too to each other and it's pent up or they just want to get back together. Either way they seem to really want each other and they make a cute as fuck couple. Plus being immortals and being in each others lives for so long you wouldn't really want them to leave would you?

Well, sorta. They really only had one interaction prior to "What Was Missing", in "Go With Me", which was pretty ambiguous at the time in terms of what it meant.

Those are the same episode, simply called "Sky Witch" if anyone wants to find it.

There is also some good Bubbline stuff in the comics, such as the last two story arcs in Ryan North's run.

I kind of got peeved that PB called Marceline her best friend. Honestly at this point its still seems PB only see's Marceline as a friend.

Everyone says just because she fell in love with Finn when she was 13 that the time he becomes 18 she'll fall in love with him again.

But damn Bonnie really makes Marcie happy, her and Simon.

I just want Marceline to have something. I know Finn had it tough too but he's still young. Marceline maybe still look young but god she really isn't.

Actually the theme in the Mini series is a pretty melancholic one that even though everything change in essence everything is still the same and the same things will keep happening immortal or not

Hey, so maybe you lot can help me - I remember seeing a comic somewhere, with PB going down to some vault which turned out to be sustaining Marceline in some kind of suspended animation. In the last panel PB said something like "I'll find a way".
I remember it being super pretty, in a kind of realistic style, but didn't save it and regret it now.

I think it was said that all comics exist in their own continuity. So, basically, there are two canons - the show canon and the comics canon.
But it's been... at least a year or two since I've heard that, so maybe things changed since then.

Basically the comics can or cannot be viewed as canon, it's meant to be up to the reader. The only exception is if something new in the show ever contradicts something that happened in the comics, in which case that comic storyline will no longer be canon.

Is it just me, Or are they really pushing them together though. After watching Varmints and Stakes. Its kind of hard not to think they have feelings for each other. This isn't an anime, blushes in cartoons usually means something in a romantic or meaningful sense. I mean look at all of Finn's blushes.

God this whole thing reminds me of the Korra blush in reunion.

To be honest I've never saw them as a couple but after watching Stakes and rew atching Varmins, Sky Witch and WWM. It just kind of clicked. Bonnibel is incredibly different when she's around Marceline. It took her at least 6 seasons to open up to Finn, but with Marceline she just breaks down. She's more relaxed around her. I don't know its just with Marceline she seems happy.

the comics are official parts of the franchise and are pretty cool canons on their own. This ship is everywhere in a number of different comic story lines, and the show hasn't been really subtle either. Just means it had a variety of ways to explore it's development. I think having a few different official works support it makes it's place in the general canon more concrete

Question what did you think about Bubblegum's behavior in The Pajama War? I thought she was holding back a lot compare to how she acted with Marceline in Varmints and Stakes. Lots of people claim she was flirting with Finn, but I didn't see that.

so last night I had a whole lot of energy and a whole lot of free time, so I scoured the comics and episodes and cropped out panels and took screenshots of every moment I thought was cute and/or relevant to their relationship, then sorted it by release. I think I have all the development of the ship within the franchise here, from their first appearance together in Go With Me to brains with mouths exposing Marcy's secret desire to tell someone something. It's nice to look at the big picture of it all like this instead of just focusing on the show or whatever. The whole thing's been steadily getting gayer and gayer over the years, with different writers and stories each taking it a bit further than the last.
