It's still miles ahead of the truly antiquarian memes, which consisted of putting black outlined impact font over pictures of mudkip or what have you.
Maybe the more Romantic or Realist period of memes, such as existed in the height of the Pepe period, were more accessible, but I like the new post-post-ironic style with its return to inaccessibility and incomprehensibility.

kek there's more symbolism than that m8.
Arthur Dayne the only person Jaime wanted to be is duel wielding. Victarions magical fire hand. The order of the fiery hand in the red priest religion. Jojens fire hand when saying that we'll know the end. Jon killing the first dead man that dies with reaching into the fire, killing it and burning his hand in the process. in the dragon pit before jon stabs the walker with dragon glass he raises a severed hand engulfed in flames. in the cave painting when showing the three heads of the dragon the man on the lefts hand is just like jaimes. severed and replaced.
also jaimes king arthur influences. wants to be just like arthur. sires an evil kid with his sister just like arthur. has love triangle just like arthur. gwen and lancelot, cersei and lancel. and has a shady conception story.
look at the guy on the left in pic related.
also
gold hand = āeksion ondos
lord light = āeksio ōños

In Season 5... if the sin of the "gambler" is that he doesn't pay back when the people he insured die, why are we shown a scene where he rejects a dangerous proposal? Shouldn't he accept it, because he's not going to pay back anyway? Were they afraid we wouldn't understand he was a dick?
>>87176290
Why Osgrey and Webber?
The early seasons
>plot holes everywhere
>small inconsistencies, only noticeable by those looking
>failure at condensing book timelines
>le sex scenes provide immersion
>terrible acting, only they managed to hold a couple decent ones (ned, robert)
>terrible direction
Late seasons
>plot holes everywhere
>inconsistency a little more noticeable since they have to use the convoluted mess of the books
>love making is implied, time is used for plot advancement instead
>sex scene with john and daneres is useful and not too prolonged as to appeal to erotic attention
>terrible acting, without the good ones.
>terrible directing
Lets just face it. Game of thrones has been the same shithole since day one, the only thing that changed was more noticeable inconsistencies and a couple B or C list actors

Don't fall for the old trickeroo. You look at her and think "Damn gurl, I'll love to give you a serving of man gravy across those yorkshire puddings" but then you get her back to the bedroom and she takes her top off, revealing that it has acted as a sort of floodgate to her rolls by containing and shaping them.
Once the floodgate has opened it's already over, the overwhelming stench of cream cheese and mackerel overwhelm your senses and your eyes begin to water. Her big puddings are a thing of the past as the truth is revealed in the dimly lit bedroom, her tits sag down to her belly button and her areolas are like two giant pieces of expired salami.
All you can do is just lay back and hum the opening theme while she slobbers over your cock like a dehydrated horse when it reaches a river.

"Her loins ached from the urgency of his love making. It was a good ache."
"Was there ever a woman with nipples so large or so responsive? He could hardly look at them without wanting to grab them, to suckle them until they were hard and wet and shiny"
"Ser Alliser Thorne walked from the room so stiffly it looked as though he had a dagger up his butt".
"The ship groaned and growled beneath him like a constipated fat man straining to shit."
"The three men were erect. The sight of their arousal was arousing."
"She was sopping wet when he entered her. “Damn you,” she said. “Damn you damn you damn you.” He sucked her nipples till she cried out half in pain and half in pleasure. Her cunt became the world."
>"HER CUNT BECAME THE WORLD."
"And suddenly his cock was out, jutting upward from his breeches like a fat pink mast."
"Men call me Darkstar, and I am of the night."
"Sunset found her squatting in the grass, groaning. Every stool was looser than the one before, and smelled fouler. By the time the moon came up she was shitting brown water. The more she drank, the more she shat, but the more she shat, the thirstier she grew."

jaime jon and dany.
the the heads of the THREE dragons were jon, dany and cersei. ( head of the dragon comes from king arthur mythos. his father uther pendragon meant uther head dragon ) it just means the leader of the body etc. if the people were the body the leader was the head.
but jons bent the knee and jaime despite cerseis betrayal has rode north to represent southern interests even if he is doing so alone.
so the three dragons are now one dragon with three leaders. three heads to the dragon.

if bran is fenrir the winged wolf of ragnarok who is bound to a cave by tyr the the one handed champion of humanity. the winged wolf dies by vidar with a special boot who steps on the lower jaw and rips his head apart with his strength.

It's probably some Westworld-like Maze bullshit
I'm not gay but I want to live in a log cabin in the woods with Kit Harrington. We won't ever have sex, but there will be a simmering erotic undercurrent as I stand in the kitchen window watching him tighten his ass as he chops wood, shirtless, sweat pouring off his body.
I'll run upstairs and masturbate, the entire time forcing myself to think of women while my thoughts drift back to Kit. I won't be able to climax and I'll eventually go back downstairs, angry.
Sometimes we will look across the table and catch each other's eyes, and in that second, anything is possible, but we both deny ourselves and go back to what we were doing.
One day one of us will die, and the other will bury him outside the log cabin.
Then he'll go inside, pen a brief missive to his departed friend, and commit suicide, never able to deal with life without his one true platonic love.
>>87177137
The show stopped being about medieval politics because the book plot was no longer available as a template to copy, but more importantly, because D&D used more and more of their "creative freedom" to delete and conflate into irrelevance the small background characters of the books who became part of the slow-burning plot of the most recent book. That's why we got no Lady Stoneheart, no Stannis, and an absolutely butchered Dorne plot.

Yeah that was the appeal of GoT, even in the books you have a bigger focus on the court politics of King's Landing. The entire court won't go up in a wildfire explosion and he won't be cutting characters like crazy, that's for certain.
I don't even dislike LOTR, I love it as its own thing. A fantasy adventure story. I'm just sad that's what GoT has become. The name of the show 'Game of Thrones' is even a misnomer at this point. There are no medieval politics at play. No anything.

There was still a lot of the book to use. As you said, Stannis' story in the books is way bigger. Lady Stoneheart, Dorne's plot which could've been introduced as its own separate thing with its own characters' stories (same way King's Landing, the Wall, Meereen were separate) but nah lets butcher Stannis' characters and kill him off like a chump and do the same to Littlefinger a few seasons later. Oh and let's blow up all the interesting King's Landing court characters in a giant explosion.

yea I thought the wierwoods were just hot spots or hubs on ley lines and the spirals were just primitive decoration for ritual and respect sake.
I can imagine the Night King watching the curly bimbo idling in these empty forests, him slowly sneaking up behind her through the shadows of the busy trees. Naturally the idiotic frog girl will be unaware of her surroundings, she knows the foolish masses just love her caring persona and the attention is like a drug for the otherwise lonely girl.
That doesn't matter to me though, the Night King's goal is her body and pride and he must take both.
The Night King will approach the huntress from her blind spot, silent and unnoticeable to the untrained eyes and ears. One of his favorites: a really blunt ice mallet, is a fast, precise weapon and especially effective against unprepared adventurers that do not even think about carrying the local cheap helmets with them. Meera will fall asleep immediately, and in that same moment he instruct his wights to grab her unconscious body and ride them both into a shady, abandoned corner of the forest.

Awoken from the pain of her bruised tits, he will turn her attention to her by whipping his 10 inch icy cold wight dick across her shocked face, Meera will at this point undoubtedly open her lewd mouth to scream for help. There are no cameras in Westeros, friend, you will hear stories of it, It will become a legend that would echo across time

>>87177983
Possibly. They were eager to use Margery when they sided with the Lannisters.
If Renly had not tried to become king, a marriage between him and Margery may have formally supported the Tyrell-Stannis alliance, though probably not in practical terms, given how hard Stannis is to sway.

>He seems to really consider himself an artist, but at the end of the day he's just a craftsman who managed to find a large audience. I doubt many people would return to or remember the books 15+ years from now
GRRM on Tolkein and himself:
“I think there are two types of writers, the architects and the gardeners. The architects plan everything ahead of time, like an architect building a house. They know how many rooms are going to be in the house, what kind of roof they're going to have, where the wires are going to run, what kind of plumbing there's going to be. They have the whole thing designed and blueprinted out before they even nail the first board up. The gardeners dig a hole, drop in a seed and water it. They kind of know what seed it is, they know if planted a fantasy seed or mystery seed or whatever. But as the plant comes up and they water it, they don't know how many branches it's going to have, they find out as it grows. And I'm much more a gardener than an architect.”
>>87178258
>To appeal to women.
Sometimes when I try to understand a person’s motives, I play a little game. I assume the worst. What’s the worst reason they could possibly have for saying what they say and doing what they do. In the books he's just too big to fight normally. He's 8 feet tall and over 400 pounds in the books, he has massive reach because he can use a great sword one handed and carries a shield so heavy other men can't lift it. His armor is practically impossible to penetrate, and no other man can even move in it. He also has constant pain from his gigantism and the reason for his cruelty is he's constantly drugged on opium (milk of the poppy) to take the edge off. So you're fighting an 8 foot tall man who can hit you from over 6 feet away when you factor his arm length in with his sword and that you can't even approach for a closer hit since he can no sell anything. Jaime notes he's not a talented swordsman and is pretty sloppy, but it just doesn't matter.

Sandor fights him to a standstill in the books, and matches him in the show before Robert stops it. Sandor is far better at fighting and is basically the closest thing to Gregor without being a giant himself. Jaime notes he could probably kill Gregor. Bronn says he'd be willing to try with a spear but decides not to since Tyrion can't offer him anything better than the lordship he gets by going to Cersei's side.

>Like LOTR isn't a copy of European mythology and history. Get real.
The characters, conflicts and court affairs aren't copypasted from actual historical events. LOTR does the generic medieval set-up but it isn't a focal point.
When Tolkien was creating his universe, it branched out after writing 'The Hobbit' - LOTR came out like 20 years after TH, from his letters:
>’Do not laugh! But once upon a time (my crest has long since fallen) I had a mind to make a body of more or less connected legend, ranging from the large and the cosmogonic, to the level of romantic fairy-story -- the larger founded on the lesser in contact with the earth, the lesser drawing slendour from the vast backcloths -- which I could dedicate simply to: to England; to my country. It should possess the tone and quality that I desired, somewhat cool and clear, be redolent of our ’air’ (the clime and soil of the North-west, meaning Britain and the hither parts of Europe: not Italy or the Aegean, still less the East), and, while possesing (If I could achieve it) the fair elusive beauty that some call Celtic (though it is rarely found in genuine ancient Celtic things), it should be ’high’, purged of the gross, and fit for the more adult mind of a land long now steeped in poetry. I would draw some of the great tales in fullness, and leave many only placed in the scheme, and sketched. The cycles should be linked to a majestic whole, and yet leave scope for other minds and hands, wielding paint and music and drama. Absurd.’
