Hey, me too. I checked archives and I saw someone made a thread about him missing. Really glad I am not the only one.

It is a daily dose of wholesome on /tv/ for me.

OP here. I'm not actually Avatarposter. I was worried too, so I thought I'd post the reminder for him today. Usually he has a thread up by 3pm EST. We might need to send search parties.
I unironically think by the time it comes out, it'll have been long enough that the flaws of the first film will be a fading memory, and the hype will be real. Avatar 2 may not gross as much as the first, but there is also a chance it will absolutely surpass it.
reminder that Na'vi aren't thicc and thus are inferior to human women.

He is just busy. I hope...

You can't count out any project which James Cameron has worked on this long.
What may be a problem is Avatar fatigue. Once he finally releases Avatar 2, it will start a 1 per year schedule up to 5. Since they're being produced simultaneously, all will have the same effects/technology/cinematography. So I feel that while Avatar 2 may become the phenomenon Avatar 1 was, the remaining sequels definitely won't be (save for maybe 5).
He's definitely going to need good writing with an original plot this time, but I've got faith.

Maybe he got a gf?
>>87061635
Not a chance it will pass the first one. Hollywood blockbusters are a declining format.
>>87061950
The fatigue will be real but I bet they'd still turn a profit. Maybe not all the way to 5 unless he's got some amazing plot arc in mind. I'd hope they'd update the post production shots on a yearly basis.

Right. Three years from now people will still be hyped up about 3D and how everything was cgi.

Just saying, people still love a spectacle, which is what brought in audiences for the first. If he manages glasses-free 3D too you bet your ass I'll pay money to see it.
