Here's a list of Doctors that still need stories. (You can still write stories with other Doctors who already have entries. In fact, I'd be glad to have them. The 12th Doctor only has three stories! And Bill doesn't haveany sstories. Not even Bill/ Heather smut!):

>Fourth Doctor

>War Doctor

>Tenth Doctor

Kris Marshall Doctor with Japanese companion

Morbius Doctor
Foreman "Jack Miles" Doctor
Auton Stratagem Doctor

More Thirteenth Doctor stories would be nice as well.

I'll also accept stories with just the companions.

Perhaps a story where Bill and Heather battle an army of Raston Robots?

Or that story that Moffat was originally gonna make for the 50th when it looked like Matt Smith's contract would run out, with just Clara Oswald in the 50th celebration?

Or a story where Gwen Cooper ends up meeting that maid from Unquiet Dead?

Or a story where the Brigadier and the Eleventh Doctor battle the Foamasi?

Or a story with the psychic from Hide, and the Third Doctor, battle an influx of Daemons?

Or a story with the Class cast, by someone who has seen the show?

I couldn’t watch TP when it originally aired because it was so BORING. Every time I tuned in, it was people talking in a room. That’s it. And if I stayed long enough to hear what they were saying, they would be talking about NOTHING. I figured out that I couldn’t follow the plot, (or had to make one up) because there WAS NO PLOT. A man went to a town to investigate a murder. That’s it. Nothing else ever happens. Just people talking in rooms. And all this taking NEVER advanced the murder investigation ONE BIT. I liked the part that I was in, (because I was in it), but it still didn’t make a hoot of sense. Hard to watch.

Did people seriously defend Hell Bent last thread?
Sure, you can explain away why the Time Lords kept Daleks, Cybermen and Weeping Angels in their dungeons, but it doesn't take away that they were stupid cameo appearances simply added to the plot for shock value in the name of having an episode with no real villains in it.

>How was that cynical?
RTD decides that the made-up "rules of the biological meta-crisis" should dictate that Donna will die unless her memory is wiped and all of her character growth is reversed. There isn't a particular poetic theme or unity to this. It's not shedding light on some profound truth, it's not offering a logical tragic conclusion to Donna's character arc (quite the opposite), it's not a metaphor for anything. It's not even commenting on the pointless unfairness of life in a particularly interesting fashion. It's just there because it will make the viewers unhappy (and of course create an excuse to show David Tennant looking miserable).

Alright so multi-doctor stories celebrate decade milestones (Three Doctors was 10 years, Five Doctors was 20, etc... etc...) and other minor milestones (15 years, 25 years) get a nice little story, yeah?

So what can we expect from the 60th? Another big event like Day of the Doctor? Maybe this time some classic Doctors will come in? What's the next big thing after "Gallifrey comes back, we end the Time War"?

Also, first for jumping man

I hope they don't go overboard for the 60th. Certainly no need to keep bringing old Doctors back every single time. Just have a comfy story with an old classic monster or set a story in an old setting for a one off lil treat.

Nah m8, look, I know you really want this to be true, but you're forcing this meme way too much.
I was hyped for Hell Bent because it was the finale, I had just seen 10/10 Heaven Sent, Gallifrey was back and Capaldi was in the go and reaching based levels never before seen.

Now, was I mildly annoyed that the story built up to be the return to Gallifrey wasn't the return to Gallifrey? Of course. But everything could be excused if it was a good story.
But it wasn't.
Simple as that.

A new showrunner, female Doctor and a likely writers room is a pretty big refresh. They need to market it really well and it'll get good ratings past the first episode I think, promoting it as "from the creator of Broadchurch" on TV would help a lot, as broadchurch got absolutely massive ratings, but they obviously won't do that.

Marketing has been pretty bad lately, even Ed Russell was wondering on twitter why BBC 1 weren't showing the finale trailer on TV, they finally did, but it took them a few days for some reason
>>
>>85617060
It's not going to refresh anything. It won't bring back anyone who isn't already watching. They won't even comprehend concept of "Writer's room".

Doctor Who is already cemented as a brand that is attractive to ones and toxic to anothers. It may or may not lose audience over those misguided attempts to attract non-existent potential viewers that would totally watch Doctor Who if not for all the white males, but it will gain little to none.

The S10 ones aren't out yet, but iPlayer alone can't compensate for the drop.
>>
>>85617181
This but not really.

History is repeating itself:
Tennant was our Tom, he was too iconic for the show's own good.
Smith was Peter, younger but still managed to bring people in, had a big milestone adventure story right in his era.
Capaldi was Colin, "too ugly", too "dickish", too "not muh doctor", there's a story where 2 Doctors meet, but there's not enough good stories (even if THE GOAT is here)
It all leads to Jodie being our Sylvester, one shit season, the rest is the greatest shit we've ever seen in our lives. Show is cancelled just when it's starting to get really good.
>>
>>85617324
6.7 million is still a lot of viewers, anon. Hardly cancellation-worthy. isn't it a Lesbo Bill thing?

Immigrant is just American and is confusing chips with crisps, it's not his fault.

Yeah, just like the russians invented the roller coaster
>>

Okay but that's not relevant to this conversation, I'm explaining why Immigrant mistakenly connected "chips" to Eccleston when Eccleston is actually associated with "crisps". What we British call "crisps", Americans call "chips".

Because it *was* the Doctor's TARDIS. It was gigantic because the dimensions started leaking out from disuse or something.

>When a Tardis is dying, sometimes the dimension dams start breaking down. They used to call it a size leak. All the bigger on the inside starts leaking to the outside. It grows. When I say that's the Tardis, I don't mean it looks like the Tardis, I mean it actually is the Tardis. My Tardis from the future. What else would they bury me in?
>>
>>85621729
I seem to remember people nagged that it didn't make sense for it to be the current TARDIS console room at the time...but then it turned out the Doctor who went to Trenzalore was always going to be 11 anyway, so it actually made sense.

Is this a meme, or did you forget them collapsing the entire universe across all of space and time?
>>
>>85621706
cool
>>
>>85622041
No, those were the Silence who worked with Kovarian. The Silence who worked with Tasha Lem were chill with the Doctor and helped him out on Trenzalore.
>>
In Victory of the Dalek, Doctor asks Amy about Dalek, she can't remember anything about them.
I never got what the point of that was

Okay, the crack ate her memories, but still, why?
>>
>>85622123
Amy spent too much time with her crack and forgot major world events.

It's a cautionary tale about masturbation, obviously.
>>
>>85622123
The crack didn't eat her memories, the crack erased that shit from happening. He mentions in Flesh and Stone that nobody remembered the fucking massive Cyberman in Victorian London. Basically Moffat finding a way to retcon the shit where the whole world saw all that shit because he couldn't just have every companion go scuba diving.
>>
>>85622079

Well ok that's true, so only some of them did bad things.

/who/, Doctor How books? The PDFs are on vk claasic. Furthermore, in the latest Doctor How book...Doctor How is a woman!

>The time field was a body of time energy that spilled from cracks in the fabric of time and space. The cracks were created by the Silence when they blew up the Doctor's TARDIS on 26 June 2010, as a means of preventing the Doctor from reaching Trenzalore and answering the Time Lords' message which was sent through the very same cracks the Silence created when they blew up the TARDIS. > Physically, he resembled an older version of Lobus Caecilius, (TV: The Fires of Pompeii) with the Doctor himself noting he that had "seen [his] face somewhere before". (TV: Deep Breath) When he realised that he had seen his face when his tenth incarnation saved Caecilius's family from the destruction of Pompeii on Donna Noble's insistence, the Doctor concluded he subconsciously chose Caecilius' face to "hold [himself] to the mark" and remind him that he "save[d] people." (TV: The Girl Who Died)

Capaldi should've remained blind.

Like, fuck. They went through the effort of retconning that shit in order to reaffirm how the Doctor is supposed to be "good"—a proverbial sacrificial lamb and beacon of justice to the universe.

How poetic (read: consistent) would it have been for Capaldi to literally sacrifice his body over the course of his regeneration. His sight, maybe a heart, or damage to a brain stem. A series of injuries that leaves him progressively handicapped until there's no choice but to regenerate.
>>
>>85622795
>Capaldi should've remained blind.
regened in that episode without BIll's help
>>
>>85622881

What's your point?
>>
>>85622907
he was ready to die by then (monks ep 2)
everything that happened later made him a worse person
>>
>A total event collapse could also change some species' histories. A Cyber-Leader noted that "all universes will be deleted", which indicated that total event collapse would also affect parallel worlds, by erasing them along with the universe in which the explosion occurred. (TV: The Pandorica Opens)

So Rose doesn't exist anymore.

YES!
>>
>>85622748
Yes. I was actingin one that featured Sontarans in the countryside, but we didn't finished it.
>>
>>85622935

'Worse person' — you mean like sacrificing himself in the ass-end of a time-dilated spaceship while killing a few Cybermen so a handful of humans could live a bit longer?

I'm still not sure your point addresses mine.
>>
>>85622955
That's awesome. We should add a Boothe Doctor story into Shit Trips in your honor. Wasn't there a Shakespeare/ Lovercraft story as well? Any funny stories from your experiences in making those fanfilms?

I'm scared for my data limits, but when I get a chance, I'll download that.

>How poetic (read: consistent)
No, a sequence of magically permanent injuries all suddenly happening to him in the space of one series would have been poetic license in the extreme.

Consistent would be having him fight to the last breath just for the sake of saving people, which is exactly what happened.
>>
>>85622795
Capaldi's sunglasses should've been part of his costume, not as Sonic Sunglasses, but as something he wore all the time.

Could you imagine the terror he'd be able to instill by taking them off for the first time in a while and staring into a monster's eyes with Capaldi's ability to portray pure rage? Fuck.
>>
>>85623059
I sure Rupert would be flattered. And yes, there was a Shakespeare story, which is my favorite one story-wise, but I wasn't happy with the sets. And funny stories hmmm.... when we were filming this story that I just posted, we had this church that would be the Cybermen headquarters when they takeover, and we had to wait when there was no one in the building. So anyway, there this old lady who just would never go away, so we decided to scare her off shouting in our voice modulators, but then she began praying because she thought we were demons. Anyway, it was difficult to make her leave, but we did it.
