I hope they put Whittaker in Capaldi's exact clothes - no tailoring or anything - because it'll be really obvious otherwise.

It's not really a problem they've had before, as any regeneration scene they've shown in nuwho has been with actors of fairly similar heights - perhaps a difference of an inch or two, but Whittaker is about 5 inches shorter than Capaldi, so the difference in height will be quite obvious.

They'll most likely go for the close-up of the face shot, and work with the perspective a bit so that the difference in heights isn't so obvious.

Let's talk about the Twin Dilemma and how it is such a masterpiece.

First off: the casting of Colin Baker as the Doctor is one of the best things ever. His casting marked the period where the BBC wasn't afraid to try new things and to even be "non kid friendly" with the way Colin asks in Episode 1. If The Twin Dilemma was a film, Colin would be nimated for an Oscar with just how good he played a maniacal Alien, trying to understand his new personality after regenerating from the kind and generous 5th Doctor.

This is a story that you could show anyone who isn't a Doctor Who fan they would immediately grasp the unusual brilliance of Colin's performance. Something that David Lynch fans would really enjoy.

I am honestly getting nervous about the future of this show. Not so much because of Jodie Whittaker. If anything, she is one of the things I eagerly look forward to seeing. I am concerned mostly about the marketing, funding, and writing. I sometimes get the sense that Matt Smith's tenure was the high point for NuWho as that was the time when I started seeing merchandise and much more publicity for the program. I do not recall ever seeing such merch sold at Hot Topic during Tennant's and Eccleston's time as The Doctor. Now it seems like Hot Topic has shrunk the size of their Doctor Who section of their brick and mortar stores.

I thought the BBC said they had an eight-year plan for the show's continuation.

Should I be worried that the Chris Chibnall era might literally be the end of the program? I doubt Jodie would be the end of that, but would this be the end due to other factors? I did notice that a female Doctor is causing intrigue in the show so that is something, but how long before the noverty lasts?

8s audios are their own thing, a kind of unique bridge era between Classic and New Who. I highly recommend them.
Some of the New Series stuff is really good. The River Song audios are incredible, the Torchwood range is really good, 10s audios are fun.
Some Classic Doctor audios don't require much context.
Some take place in Big Finish's own sort of areas/storylines, like a lot of 6 audios and some 7 audios post-Classic Who
