Who the fuck cares about these two, they were shit characters. Only Chet Desmond matters (and even then I'd be fine if they just reference his name and never revisit it). Some mysteries don't need to be solved.

I personally like to think that he was just sent to non-existence, after he got a bit too close to cracking the case. If he got some more details about the guy who came into town and killed Theresa Banks, Leland would've been taken into custody, meaning that BOB wouldn't be able to possess Laura. This means the Arm wouldn't get the garmonbozia he wanted. So naturally the Arm has a reason to get rid of Chet.

Does anyone else think that Shinji is Gendo's clone? I mean he was supposed to be this super famous geneticist, that's why he was chosen to lead up the EVA program right? Is this the hardest series to get into of all time? Let's list the issues a first-time viewer might have:

>if they choose to torrent the movie there's a good chance they'll watch the Missing Pieces by accident (which makes no cohesive sense)
>Season 1 is in the format of a soap opera

>spoilers literally everywhere about who the killer is (Showtime literally airs ads which spoil it)
>once the killer is revealed Season 2 turns to shit and most viewers will stop watching
>not until the final episode where the show gets back on track
>if they get through Season 2 some viewers will either forget about the movie, or watch the missing pieces by accident (as mentioned before it's easy to watch the wrong one)
