Question - I seem to be the only dude in the western world who doesn't love Doctor Who. I've tried to get into it (watched the entire season with Eccelstone and a few episodes of the newest), but it just seems so camp and simple to me.

No Moffat-esque season long plots. So far I haven't heard anything relating to Daleks or Cybermen yet, but I'm sure they'll have stories.

I've only seen a couple of props but the only ones I could put together were the Ogre, Axons, a fish looking creature, this ramshackle low-tech thing which sort of resembles a cyberman if they were made of computer scrap. I feel like I'm getting excited for ChibWho because I expect him to be the kind of writer/runner who understands how to have serious stakes in a story to actually make things tense and make the viewer care. Moff Who has been incredibly lacking in any reason for us to be worried about how the adventure will progress because not only are we used to No Casualties, there's no real danger to anyone or anything we care about. RTD at least kept throwing everyone's immediate family right into the middle of danger and things like that. What did Chibs do in Dinosaurs? He gave us Brian and he stuck him right into the action. Plus, you know, the part where he ran an actual drama. I'm optimistic (cautiously)

All this talk of more Spin-offs under Chibnall is true. There are a number under consideration and development.

A U.N.I.T spin-off similar to Torchwood but on a more ''global'' scale. No Osgood or kate, aimed at late teens/adults. Think the agency from Hellboy dealing with the supernatural and Aliens.

There is a Master Spin-off in the planning stages, 1 series is being considered and more if successful. It is different from the main show and is aimed as a family show but pushes what can be shown for that age range. Simm is in talks to star for the first series.

Moffat wants to develop a paternoster gang series set in Victorian England, Silurians are being considered as the shows villains. But Moffat has no plans to make it anytime soon.
