Smile was decent, but not a classic.
The emoji robots weren't as cringy as I expected, and were actually quite an interesting concept.

The music that played when the robots gained sentience and attacked the humans was a complete tonal misjudgement and invoked the wrong emotional response.

Also, what was the moral of this story? The resolution was just weird.

45 minutes is too short for Doctor Who.

I wouldn't have had Cottrell-Boyce back after S8, and he wouldn't top my list to come back for S11, either.

Like, to me this last episode wasn't good; it was amazing and worth the entire rest of the series. I was literally either bored to mildly interested (maybe 3-6 level of quality) and then WHAM! A straight 10.

Oh, actually it wasn't. The "killing this thing is a bad idea because empathy" theme was done lot better here, but it still is reckless to gamble the future of the human race on the release of one creature.

45 minutes seemed about right for this episode, honestly. It was quite a funny episode, as well.
