So how will Missy regenerate for us to get Simmms back?
>>
>>83836033
The finale's going to be about simm trying to bring missy back to being bad
He'll do a thing that puts the doctor in danger, and missy will kill simm to save the doctor, causing simm to regenerate into missy

Bootstrap paradoxes are standard doctor who fare, they don't need to handle anything

why are you pretending that gomez is an earlier incarnation than simm, anon?
>>
>>83836115
not him but

Time Travel is a tricky thing imho. Simms Master could easily ran him being in London at the beginning of he's regeneration and also time traveling into the future stumbling upon The Twelvths and Missy's timeline (interferring as the he would) and deciding to be a pain. but yeah pretty plain and sloppy but what else can you expect from new Who.
>>
The 'how' doesn't really matter desu
what's more important is that their interactions are entertaining

truly nothing is known until we see him. Can't go by looks because Simm irl is obviously older. Post Simm-Master makes absolutely no sense, that said it is Moffat in the most control.

>>
>>83836557

how?
Last time we saw the master, he was sucked into the time war. The time war is now resolved and the doctor's been on gallifrey since then. There's barely even a hole to be filled.
>>

>>
Pre-production S11 starts August - that means some draft scripts are already in
>>
>>83836597
A Time traveler can travel through time at any point of his existence.

Simm/Master is dead so if this is the Simm/Master from his first run he would have to fit this part of his time-line parallel, unless this one is a copy regeneration of Missy/Master.
>>
>>83836708
There is only one master. It doesn't matter what incarnation it is.

The master is one person. The master can go back and meet their past self at any point. That's time travel. The Doctor's done it before too. What's the issue?

Labour made significant improvements in the recent general election which somehow in their eyes equates to winning. They made this increase because Labour leader Corbyn delivered a manifesto which was akin to a child's christmas list.
>>
>>83839595
I heard May lost majority and had to ally herself with some Irish nutters.
>>
>>83839595
Ok. Little stranger than normal but I'll try.

Adam Orford has been trying to get with girls 10 years younger than him by emotionally manipulating them and generally being a huge creep.
George called him out on this and posted screenshots of conversations clearly showing Adam at his creepy balding peak.
Adam got the police involved for some reason which can only backfire on himself. He also attacked Twinflame on twitter.
Meanwhile Matt Whelan is likely to become prime minister despite having been banished from DWSR months ago.
>>
>>83839595
He hasn't won outright, but he's the only one to gain anything from this past election - Tories, SNP, LibDem, UKIP etc. all lost seats. It's particularly embarrasing for May, who called an election three years early thinking she could consolidate power and ended up pissing it all away; she's now relying on paramilitary nutters from Ireland to prop up her failed government.
>>

I don't think Extremis is really outstanding or something. It was Moffat at its Moffatest - sitcom, religion, le shocking twist, le dark tone, but every part of it is falls off. Everything feels reused and tired.
Not to mention I didn't like "it was all a dream" part, which I'm not a fan of. Not to mention this episode literally DIDN'T CONTRIBUTE ANYTHING to parts 2 and 3.
>>
>>83839396
Lie of the Land was the single most disappointing episode Moffat has had a hand in. The first 15 minutes set it up to be pure kino, with Bill having to resist the Monks and the Doctor. Then it all turns out to just be a prank bro, and the power of love literally saves the day. The episode deflated the tension so fast it felt like a cruel joke to play on the audience. It made the remaining 30 minutes completely boring and unjustified.

Empress on the other hand is a perfectly paced standalone episode that stands as easily Gatiss' best.

Psst hey. You got any spoilers?
>>
>>83839595
Basically, UK Prime Minister Theresa May is a member of the Conservative Party. Months ago, the Conservatives (also known as Tories) were 20 points ahead of their nearest opposition, the left wing Labour Party. Because of this, Theresa May called a snap election to get more seats in parliament - she already had a majority but she wanted more so she could pass important Brexit laws easily. This election backfired massively because May was really cocky and ran a shit campaign - she thought she had it in the bag. In the end, she actually lost a few seats to Labour, meaning that the Conservatives no longer have a majority in parliament. However, Labour still has less seats than the Conservatives, so no single party has a majority at all - this is known as a "hung parliament". To remedy this, the Conservatives have allied with the DUP (a far right Irish party) to pass their votes - together they have just enough seats to make a majority. However, the public - even most Conservative voters - don't like this at all, and May is getting all the blame, both for this and the election fuckups. Some people suggest that there may be a second election - in which case, Corbyn would probably win as his support continues to grow.
>>
>>83839702
Adam trying to get pussy is not illegal. It makes him a real man.

>>
>>83839839
That's because it's not a three parter. It's a standalone with ties to the next episodes. That's why it's good- it stays more or less irrelevant to the shitty two-parter that follows it.

>t-this time he'll be impeached, t-this time
>>
>>83838092
I'm not sure. I thought the scope would be bigger somehow, but it ended up being 10 Victorians and about 10 Ice Warriors in the end, and everything got resolved before the hive was fully awakened. It could have been far worse though. The Empress was dealt with in a decent way, not the "GURLPOWER" way I was fearing. Though there were yet again lots of mentions of men being useless. Still, the Empress proved to be a reasonable character not out to kill, and willing to take the better option.

One of Gatiss's best, even though that doesn't say much. His very first outing, The Unquiet Death, remains his best, I think.

Also, am I the only one who knows next to nothing about next week's episode? So little info was released, no interviews to hype it up etc. I feel like it'll end with a huge twist that will lead into the finale.
>>
>>83839546

Dems are center-left at best. Berniecats are the closest thing to a leftist movement in the U.S., but unless people like Keith Ellison actually attain some real power int he Democratic party, their movement dies with Sanders. thank god
>>
>>83840100
12's blindness being fixed was the worst part of the episode. Blind 12 was the best twist we've had in a while, it felt kinda cheap to end it so quickly, especially with a regen coming soon.

Pyramid was pretty good. The idea that Bill would doom the world to save the Doctor was pretty strong. I honest to god cannot understand why anyone would think it's in any way worse than Lie of the Land.
>>
>>83840223
Even though it was ridicolous at times and plot made little sense, it was well-paced.
>>
>>83840315
>>83840223
Everything to do with the lab was pants on head retarded, but overall the episode wasn't offensively bad. Lie of the Land was the first episode this season where I could pick out plot holes in real time.
>>
>>83840373
Pyramid had more holes though. Why didn't 12 just send Bill a video? Frak off Harness.
>>
>>83840412
The plot hole of 12 not videoing Bill is nothing compared to the absolutely inexplicable occurrence of the Doctor actively enabling the execution of innocent people under a fascist regime for 6 months so that he can trick Bill into trying to shoot him. You can pretty easily come up with a reason why the Doctor couldn't video her, you can't come up with anything that explains the latter.

The first 15 minutes of Lie of the Land was SHEEP, the rest is hot garbage. Definitely the worst of the season, with Pyramid not far behind it.

Extend synopsis of World Enough and Time from Radio Time

http://www.radiotimes.com/tv-programme/e/frg5r2/doctor-who--s10-e11-world-enough-and-time/

>Friendship drives the Doctor to make the rashest decision of his many lives when, trapped on board a giant spaceship, caught in the event horizon of a black hole, he witnesses the death of someone he pledged to protect. For a man well-accustomed to bending the laws of time to his advantage, now every passing second seems to be leading to an awful loss beyond even his control. However, he remains determined to overcome the odds and redeem his mistake, but prevailing against time itself could be one battle too many for the Time Lord. Sci-fi adventure, starring Peter Capaldi, Pearl Mackie, Matt Lucas and Michelle Gomez.

Corbyn is the 'Bernie Sanders' of British politicians. He holds big rallies, does le epic speeches, and his popularity is growing by the day.

By the time of the British general election on 8th June, he reduced the other big political party's vote lead from 20 points down to just 2.

Yeah, he lost this time, but his campaign is seen as a huge success, and he has secured his place as his party's leader for the foreseeable future.

With more time, his popularity will no doubt increase even more, and he has a very good chance of being PM if another early election is called (highly likely because reasons).

This. Chibnall knew who he wanted as 13th Doctor the minute he was offered the new show runner job, despite what he publicly says.

Whether or not it's Kris Marshall: we'll have to see.
>>
>>83842703
If he did want Kris Marshall, and he was cast last year, then that ties into Kris leaving Death in Paradise, as that decision will have been made around the same time
>>
So apparently Gatiss and his partner don't know who it is [where as RTD does], but he's been cast

https://forums.digitalspy.com/discussion/comment/86681919#Comment_86681919

>The role has been cast.

I was at "Utopia" this weekend which is run by Fantom Film and there was a panel with Adele Lynch (who appeared in last Saturday's episode) and Ian Hallard who played Alan A Dale and is also the partner of Mark Gattis. He was asked who the new doctor was and stated that both men and women had been considered for the part and that a decision has been made. He then swore that the production team have been keeping their cards very close to their chest and that neither he nor Mark have been told who has been selected for the role.
>>
>>83842787
Yeah. Sometimes the blatantly obvious is the most obvious.

I suspect Marshall was offered the role. The question is 'did he accept'? He's got young kids, one still a toddler. And he has stated he gave up the DiP role so that he could spend more time with his kids.

Reminder that playing the lead in Doctor Who is very time consuming. Long filming days, for 9-10 months per year, plus promo work too. Even Capaldi himself describes it as a 'TV factory'.
>>
>>83843005
And other actors who were offered the role like Alan Cumming said having to film away from home for months was their reason for declining. Unless he's lying about spending time with his kids, it seems silly for him to give up a successful gig for something much more demanding.
>>
>>83839973

>>

They all know. They say they don't to avoid questions.
>>
>>83843095
Eccleston, despite having had a solid career previously, only managed one series. Not a father when he played the role, altho has had kids since.

Tennant was a classic Who fan, also didn't have kids at the time he played the role, but has become a father since.

Smith was almost an unknown when cast, no kid yet.

Capaldi also a long time fan, his daughter grown up by the time he was cast.

Seems to me that new Who Doctor actors either don't have young kids, or kids are grown up.

>unlike say death in heaven, which was set up by an entire season

>>

As for the other Doctors:

Hartnell had a granddaughter by the time he was cast.

Troughton's eldest kids were in their teenage years by the time he became Two.

Pertwee's kids weren't even ten when he was cast.

Baker had abandoned his kids years before he was cast as Four.

Georgia Moffett was born right around the time Davison left.

Colin's baby son died when he was Six.

McCoy's were old enough to cameo as Haemovores in Fenric.

McGann had a couple little kids when he became Eight.

Hurt was a grandfather.

If Nardole, is a Time Lord, it does make you wonder how the Doctor nor Missy never sensed this over more than 70 years, or why he needed to get Missy to pilot the TARDIS for him when it wasn't working, or why he was affected by the poison in Pyramid even though the Doctor wasn't because he has Gallifreyan lungs

tl;dr Nardole isn't a Time Lord and this is just going off some random crap from the Fan Show that would have been cut if it were true
>>
>>83844668
True, but in the Pyramid ep the Doctor said that Nardole had human lungs. He's pieced together, so it's possible his head is from a Time Lord, although this is weird as fuck considering the original Nardole was a dimwit servant of River Song

Okay..The Pilot hinted that Nardole could be a cyborg - stray battery cell falling off plus robotic arm making noise...

But, don't you think there have been "too many" references to Nardole being a cyborg and having assembled body parts - the face, the lungs, the arm...like, we know he's a cyborg. But the multiple references to his body parts make me wonder if there's more to Nardole than what meets the eye...like if he is more than a cyborg...

Also the TARDIS developing her own mind in EoM, and auto-piloting him back to the University...yes, the TARDIS has shut her doors on previous companions (Captain Jack and Clara), but to take someone away on her own...as if she panicked due to someone's unwanted presence?

This sounds as idiotic and ridiculous as "Bill = Susan", and you can throw eggs and tomatoes at me for all you want, but what if Simm master has been right under our nose from the very beginning, and we have simply failed to recognize him?

TLDR - What if Nardole is pre-simm master? Or post-missy master who wants to bring back Simm?

HE IS right! i'm sick of the BBC's diversity Quota it's done wrong. Actually having a black soldier as a regular infantryman in victorian times especially during the time of the fucking Zulu war is insulting to blacks. The black soldier would be considered a race traitor. So they aren't representing anything good by having him as a normal infantryman.

Also you cannot shite on about racial issues and gender attitudes of the time, and then have a black soldier in the regular army like it's nothing. BBC are a mess. ITV does diversity better they actually research historical roles.

Capaldi is most famous for playing an Allistair Campbell Expy (Malcolm tucker). Campbell, an ex-Labour spin-doctor HATES Corbyn with a passion even greater than the Tories.

I would love to see him play Corbyn to upset them both.

Buttflustered? By winning (just about) the election?

Corbyn is so shit he has taken not an average to middling loss as a massive victory.

Simm has a TARDIS he stole from Gallifrey. at the end of ep12, Missy kills Simm, who regenerates and passes out.

Older Missy then takes younger Missy's TARDIS key, and leaves younger Missy with a vortex manipulator.

How is an opinion nullified because it six hours old?

'Utopia' aired 16th June 2007.
