Regeneration theory
The fake regeneration in the last episode wasn't fake.
We were told that one of the soldiers didn't replace the bullets in the gun with blanks so it's possible that Bill could have shot the doctor for real, we've never seen the doctor fake a regeneration before and Missy noticed something wasn't right with the doctor at the end of this episode.

Alpha Centauri is like a diplomat for this galactic peace committee. Various races are a part of it, including the Ice Warriors. It's the first time an Ice Warrior is shown as not evil in the classic series, and the Doctor doesn't trust their representative at first.

The reason it's so funny that they made it seem really dramatic/serious is because Alpha Centauri is a bit of a joke amongst fans, because of the silly voice and because they look like a walking penis.

Yeah, it was very gatiss but at the same time never made me roll my eyes or feel embarrassed at any of the jokes. Even the Frozen reference was set up to be a proper punchline and acted well.

I don't have any expectations at all for Rona's but I am looking forward to seeing what she'll do. It's really a pity the 3-parter ate up so much space, I would've loved to have seen more standalone S10 episodes.

gatiss is the one to have finally delivered on side characters, interestingly enough. they may not have been particularly great but they actually had considerable screentime and their own histories/motives

also, unrelated, but nardole folded pretty quickly. at the start of the season he was super super serious about the importance of keeping missy locked up, and then in this episode he lets her out and gives her the TARDIS. I think they could have at least had it so that he waited and tried to fix it on his own for like a week (since it's a timemachine) before giving in, that would've been believable.
