So /co/ is pretty much split right down the middle (50/50) on whether or not this will be good.
Where does /tv/ stand?
Horribly miscast and they're cramming way too many characters into it. Instead of focusing on the battle of wills between Bats and supes they're using this one movie to launch the entire DC movie universe
Man of Steel being mediocre at best isn't helping either
It'll be be good, not amazing but who knows pretty sure everyones expectations will be super low considering Man of Steel and I wouldn't be surprised if most people are pleasantly surprised with the product. So I say at least a solid 7/10
Civil War on the other hand is looking like more of a crowded mess then BvS contrary to what everyone wants you to believe and seemingly has a lot of ground to cover. Plus with the disappointment that was Avengers 2 I doubt much people are excited for it as they should. But still expecting a Solid film thanks to the based Russos probably a 7-8/10 but BvS will make more money.
This board is so fucking awful.
This could be a banner
The trailers looked pretty serious up until the "I thought she was with you," line. Either way, it's the same director, and if Zack Snyder thought it was a good idea to include an exposition dump about Superman's origins from his computer dad after we just spent the first 20 minutes of the movie literally watching his origins play out, then I have zero confidence in him.
I mean, usually his trailers are good and his movies are shit.
The trailer for this are shit. So unless there's some sort of cosmic poetry that leads to this being good, then no. It will be shit.
It only might be good due to Ben Affleck's friend's rewrites.
Great Snyder Trailers = Shit movie
Bad Snyder Trailers = ???
It'll be good (not groundbreaking) but critics will never give it a chance. They've already decided since Man of Steel, if not 300. I'll be surprised if it breaks 80% RT.
They'll address every single major complaint from Man of Steel. Superman will do ridiculously heroic shit. They'll address the fallout from the metropolis fight. The movie will be straightforward, no allusions or metaphors. It will feel very safe and focus group tested.
At worst the score and action scenes will be the best ever in a super hero movie, unless we're talking practical effects.
People will talk the most about Wonderwoman after the movie is out. Fans have already wrote off this version of Lex despite how well Eisenberg actually performs in the movie.
I'm not convinced it's even possible for action scene involving Superman to be good. Everything in MoS was a mess of people just getting thrown into buildings or things that would explode. There's no way to make the way he fights interesting.
Would have been interesting if they would have actually stuck to just Batman v Superman. But now it's just Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman fight Lex Luthor (feat. Doomsday.) It's going to be tremendously average.
>yfw you realize the shit trailer was all an elaborate ruse to generate more hype for the most cinematically beautiful, perfectly well-written superhero movie of all time after release by people yammering about it through word of mouth
MoS was perfect.
Does Snyder directs his actors?
Because Affleck can actually pull a good performance, and Cavill was really charismatic in the man of U.N.C.L.E. They both look bored and without any passion here.
They'll fuck it up. Not only are they hyping it up for Batman to be the unreasonable and downright evil, they're also "resolving" the conflict with a third party who they both team up to defeat.
For a movie called Batman vs Superman there is barely any "vs" in there.
Nah. I love MoS but had flaws, for example the movie doesn't look near as good as other Snyder works, and tries to imitate the blue tone of Batman Begins without success, Snyder tried really hard to do what Nolan does, and to be honest that doesn't work with him, the man is good with action and cinematography, he is not really the guy who you go for ideas(sucker punch proves that you should not let him make a script), the shaky camera and weird zooms, it's like a work of an amateur compared to the stuff he did in 300, movie that even Jackie Chan praised.
>whether or not this will be good
... it will be really disappointing because Snyder is talentless and they are puling a Spiderman 3. On a sidenote, Sucker Punch is one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my whole fucking life
The romance was horrible, forced as fuck
Why don't you see them as flaws, serious question?
I believe is a flaw when a director fails to do something he was so good at it, or know for it.
I enjoyed Man of Steel a lot. I didn't mind the large amount of building destruction, and I am not a comic book fan so the serious tone worked well enough for me. There were flaws, like the romance aspect not really that convincing, and Keven Costner's death being so incredibly dumb and unnecessary.
So I was excited enough when it was announced this new one is coming out, even with an Affleck Batman. But then I saw the trailer and looks really uninteresting and more or less an excuse to pool in all the DC characters into one movie; playing the Marvel strategy. Jesse as the Lex Luthor was also really unconvincing in that trailer. So no I am not excited to see this.
Galdot is a shit casting choice
Lex is even worse
The trailers have revealed too much. We know about Doomsday, we know how WW gets introduced, etc.
At this point I don't even know if they're actually going to have any good fights between Bats and Supes, Batman just doesn't seem very intimidating in this. In the comics/cartoons there have actually been times where Bats can stand up to Supes (kryptonite, among other things). But I don't think this is really going to have a good fight.
And everything we've seen of the trailers makes the writing look like shit.
What do you think? /tv/ will shit on it til it comes out, then say it's the best fucking thing ever to annoy Marvelfags and be contrarian, then when it doesn't beat Star Wars' box office will decide that it's shit again. There'll be the occasional meme post saying it's a masterpiece, à la Man of Steel, and that'll be that.
Yeah, what a bitch this Batman looks to be
/tv/ stand to fuck off, go back to /co/ and contain all capeshit there. Take star wars with you. Based Jim will return to end all capeshit.
No opinion yet since i haven't seen it
what kinda question is that nigga
I'm looking forward to it, I don't know if will is good or not though.I hope it is.
You have to admit, it has some pretty great trailers.
He almost was, for George Miller's Justice League. Then the Writer's Strike happened and they couldn't decide on how to film, budget, or where to film.
>you will never spend hours discussing your wheel of time theories while raiding with based cavill
1 ticket aboard the feelium express please
I liked both. My problem with Man of Steel were the shit casting decisions (excluding Cavil) the weird and childish dialogue, and the really washed out moments throughout the film.
Had it been a little more saturated and had better dialogue I would not have much of a problem with it.
If you are not hyped for this movie, you must be pleb as fuck.
Zack Snyder has literally never made a single good movie.
His Dawn of the Dead remake was his best and thats absolutely forgettable.
