Sequels don't do well. The only reason avatar did well because it's was a new 3d thing. The story wasn't good and no one will go see it

People barely remember avatar and certainly don't remember the story or character well enough to care about Jake Sooly and the rest of his tribe going forward.

What could a sequel possibly do? Evil greedy humans come back for more plot device rocks and they fight them off again?
