>it's a "this is a generation of whimps"/"this country is DOOMED" comedian
>comedian mentions marijuana/alcohol
>audience erupts in applause
Sure if picking up a guy or two and giving them shit floats your boat.
I personally find it as a cheap way to do comedy because thats something we all did as kids and grew out of it so its not funny anymore.
Because he invented. That thing where he does the little side commentary speaking for the audience in the different voice has been ripped off by so many hacks.
I really don't love Gaffigan's comedy but I am happy for his recent success cause the dude has been hustling FOREVER and has been passed over countless times to give guys like Dane Cook movies and tv shows
>it's a "muh period, vagina, tits, boyfriend" female comedian.
>comedian starts talking about the JFK assassination
>guy's about to make a somewhat politically incorrect joke/point
>tries to eliminate all ambiguity and nuance beforehand so he doesn't offend the sjws
Bill Burr does this a lot. He's talking about domestic abuse but he starts of 'I don't domestic abuse' or 'im not victim blaming'. Don't try and appease sjw's it's only going to bite you in the ass, and create a few tumblr comics.
>it's a "WHITE PEOPLE ARE EVIL" comedian
But that's the fun part, when they position themselves within the morals spectrum of the general audience and fuck around with its boundaries. Comedians who present themselves as edgy mavericks from the start and throw one un-PC opinion after the other get boring after five minutes
It's a "you will never drink OK Soda" realization
Wrong generation DESU.
>it's a "I used to be but today never acknowledge that I was formerly a" comedian
>comedian engages in innuendos about homosexuality and/or promiscuity
>"woo" screams from THAT. ONE FEMALE. AUDIENCE MEMBER
I mean, COME. OAN.
>comedian says something against religion
>people start clapping
>it's a "I take lessons on my culture from stand-up comedians" audience
Why did everyone hate Dane Cook so much? His standup was legitimately funny, albeit more suited for teenagers. He got pretty annoying with the su-fi myspace bullshit alter in his career, but can you at least admit Retaliation was great? And can you really blame him for trying to make it in acting?
>implying better luck chuck wasn't a solid flick
>inb4 t. Dane's publicist
>Funny clip I saw on the internet LOL
>Tory goverment!? BOOOOOO!
The problem with Dane Cook was he peaked right before he got popular with Harmful if Swallowed and everything after that became exponentially worse. His early work is pretty fucking terrible too.
>tripfag thinking their opinion matters
>It's a "I'm secretly struggling with depression so let me keep giving you hints about it during my set" comedian
Fuck off kikes you're not wanted here
I wanna try it just because of the packaging. I guess that was the point to make it look really hop but apathetic anti-consumerism Gen Xers didn't fall for it like they hoped.
>it's a jolly comedian goes on a racist rant episode
Gotta love that Maron instantly goes from claiming all stereotypes aren't real to claiming some of them are real the moment Gallagher mentions black comedians relying on them a lot in their routines.
Not hipster, but more for kids who were tired of the conventional trademarks and logos and marketing of the Boomers. You have to remember OK came out for the same generation that grew up with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Strange and cool was different before it became all special snowflakey later.
It was a lot like a carbonated and sweetened cranberry or prune juice, I'd say.
But what if this WAS the entire soda machine?
>it's a "have you seen that white people does X thing like this? *does shitty impression*, and black people does X thing like this? *does shitty impression*" comedian.
