At least the remake didn't have a fat retarded brother in a wheelchair in it.

The Thing isn't a remake. There were two movies based on the same book The Thing is based on prior, which were not called The Thing, and which had zero similarities. The Thing is an adaptation of a book.

>>64686720

>>64686632
Hahaha really? I mean both were cheesy and stupid but at least the original had Vincent Price
>>64686399
80's to late 90's were like the tail end of media before Focus groups became a deciding factor in how things should be made. There was always a slow movement to the way things are now but you kind of had people with enough power to buck the system for major releases still. Almost everyone now is a Yes man and when something really special gets made I swear I think it's an accident.

Objectively wrong. Or you know, that's what I think anyways.

This movie doesn't get the love it deserves. I rank it up there with The Thing.

some pretty dire horror movies get remade, and the remakes are almost inevitably better; pic related
