It seems Universal entertainment has most likely taken it down... but..
Years ago i remember seeing VHS test footage of Jim Carrey in the original Grinch costume concept well before they started filming the movie. It was the most terrifying thing and i cannot for the life of me find it. Just curious if any of you have seen it recently... bleh.
>Jim Carrey in the original Grinch costume concept
I know what you're talking about, but I can't find it.This is spookier.
This is all I could find of concepts and tests, sorry.
I found it! However i cannot open the site.
>Implying children's movies can't have at least decent cinematography
>Implying cinematography is a buzzword
And all the lights create a really annoying fuzzy effect, like the whole movie is a cartoony dream sequence.
same guy made the makeup for Thriller, American Werewolf, Gremlins 2, The Wolfman remake. Guy knows how to make terror fuel. There is something in all of those faces that is just ungodly unnatural.
He needs to fucking tone it down a notch
> dutch angles
They're supposed to be used sparingly in film to convey unease. In shitty visual novels it's used because the aspect ratio of the screen can't accommodate a closeup of a character otherwise.
To look like shit that is literally unwatchable? No, it didn't cross my mind.
>waahh he didn't like this movie I liked, better make a comment about how he doesn't make movies.
>dat feel when we'll never get a movie of the original Mask because Jim was afraid of being in a movie other than a straight comedy.
In the books he becomes addicted to wearing the mask and being a hero and killing anyone he deems a villain but the more he wears it the more the Mask itself takes over, ends up getting shot and killed by his GF after one last shitshattering showdown when he takes off the mask
Wow never knew this movie could've had such a dark twist. Thanks Hollywood.
In the books after Stanly gets killed the Detective that was after him ends up with it and goes through the same shit but manges to break his addiction of the mask.
After that its straight mayhem and destruction as it keeps popping up into the hands of people.
Last book in the series is a Batman/Mask crossover where at the end the detective gets it back, digs up Stanly and reburies him with it.
Yup, I would have loved to have seen Jim Carrey in that version. The comic is fucking brutal.
