Itt: concept art that should have been used
Unused Mecha from Elysium
>I'll try shamelessly ripping off Yoji Shinkawa's design style and cover it with phototextures, that's a good trick
You just made me realise: change the soundtrack and replace sleepwalking Matt Damon with a young Dolph Lungdren, and Elysium would basically be live-action MD Geist.
You're in my mind anon, which is why I originally wanted to write "Ohata" and changed to Cameron to get the other less informed anons.
Imagine Blomkampf doing Battle Angel Alita (or Gunnm if you're a filthy weeaboo), when you think about it the class struggle between Tiphares/Salem and the Junkyard guys is right up his alley.
I don't recall seeing these, but I may have to rewatch the movie
>all this GotS inspiration
>all this anime
>would have elevated the film from trash to average
>for some reason the filmmakers settled on the most uninspired designs
>all effects are cgi
>is a big-budget sic-fi film that is expected to spend buckets of money on cgi
>sci-fi films live and die on their imaginative vision of the future
>filmmakers still use cheapest designs to "save money" and not to make a better and more gripping film
bruv this aint the 80s. Cgi modelling is dirt cheap compared to practical effects
What a shame.
She's got more pointless belts than a Final Fantasy character.
Is that some Saul of the Mole men?
A Blomkamp adaptation of Akira would also be god-tier if someone ever wanted to make it happen.
The District 9 story already had so many similarities to it, that it could come out fucking fantastically.
