You do realize that George is pretty sad about SW, right? He thought he was going to be able to be involved in the new SW films to some degree, offer creative guidance and basically be involved more like he was with the OT instead of the PT. But Disney rejected that some time into production because George didn't just want to make a pointless rehash, he wanted to make something new, and Disney didn't like that so they hastily cobbled together the "new" episode 7 and went through dozens of scripts that were drastically different before settling on the final hour.

George cares. Not about the money though. He knows he fucked up, he knows that he lost SW, his "kids" and has resigned himself to that fact by describing it as a bad break up where he essentially cannot try to get involved again for his own mental sanity.
