I didn't know he was a stormtrooper from the trailers or promo materials or anything. I thought he was just wearing a suit as a disguise a la A New Hope.

So when I saw a REAL stormtrooper take off his mask, that was a huge shock for me. Very good scene.

I am racist (I don't really like that I am but I go with it) and was glad they didn't do a romance or make him the Jedi, but he was a good character. He was kind of crappy at everything, though....
