Kenobi should be a standalone, not a trilogy. How I always envisioned his movie would be as a pseudo-western samurai type of movie, with Maul as the shadow of his past (who he believes to be Anakin/Vader, never seeing him uncloaked but sensing his darkness) appearing frequently throughout the movie and finally revealing himself for a last duel of the prequel era under a dark Tatooine sunset.

If they really want to do Ewan for a trilogy of movies, they should just remake the prequels. I don't think anyone would really mind. Just have the first film begin with a different younger Obi in the Maul duel, losing his master Qui-gon. Then have him as a sort of wanderer for many years, fighting in the first years of the Clone Wars, then enter Ewan discovering a young adult Anakin living in the slums, or a refugee of some giant battle, I don't know.

I watched most of the recommenden stuff the CGI series and I honestly can't say if I like or not. The Action is really bad with people missing their shots from five feet away but thats due to it being a kids show and thats what it really boils down to. Waifu bait makes it worthwhile I guess.

Star Wars Anthology: Kenobi

McGregor as Obi Wan obviously.

An infant Luke Skywalker is saught after by the crime community after tatooine crime lords find out there is "more to the child than what appears at first glance". Jabba the Hutt, recognizing the name "Skywalker" from the clone wars sends out a ruthless bounty hunter (original character) to find and capture the young Jedi.
The now "Ben Kenobi" has to go on a quest across tatooine to find and return Skywalker to a distressed and guilty Uncle Owen (who blames Kenobi for allowing Luke to be captured in the first place out of neglegence).
Along the way Ben must learn to put the past behind him. He struggles with an identity crisis on account of recently changing his name and losing his padawan which he partially blames himself for.

The movie will have heavy references to The Clone Wars tv series. Callbacks to the Dutchess of Mandalore and possible cameos from Cad Bane and MAYBE Ahsoka Tano, who at this point is also in hiding.

Use picture related as reference of how Kenobi should look.

That made her question herself, the war and the order, so she left to pursue her own destiny.
Left poor Anakin in a shock he didn't recover from, he had already become jaded with the war and how the Order and the Republic was operating and she was about the only light left that kept him grounded trough it all. And things were getting pretty fucking dark, darker than RotS even when Disney pulled the plug.

Movie 1: Obi-wan adapting to life on Tattoine as "Ben Kenobi", while watching over Luke from afar. A new gang is encroaching on the area however, and are demanding protection taxes from the locals including Owen and Beru. Owen tells Kenobi to stay out of it, but when the thugs turn violent Kenobi decides to fuck shit up.

Can also include a cameo from Jabba who Wants Kenobi to fuck up the rival gang leader because he's muscling in on his business. afterwads, Jabba tells Kenobi he owes him one.

Movie 2: Cad Bane the assassin is hired by Vader to kill Obi-wan Kenobi after he is sighted on Alderaan, after he went there to talk with Bail Organa about Luke and Leia's safety and news of surviving Jedi.

Obi-wan defeats Cad Bane and with Bail Organas help organises a few remaining Jedi into a fledgling new order on a remote planet, far from the Empires reach.

Movie 3: Obi-wan recieves a distress signal from his old Jedi Temple communication device that hasn't activated in years. Requesting help from a Jedi he thought must have died in Order 66, clearly Obi-wan is skeptical that this isn't a trick from the Empire to catch him, however the Jedi just asks Obi-wan to look up security reports for (insert part of space where you want movie to be), Obi-wan looks them up after breaking into an Imperial security outpost and finds reports of a Jedi killing soldiers and generally fucking up Empire bases. He agrees to meet with him. Meanwhile a shadowy figure is watching Obi-wan and Luke...

Obi-wan tells the Jedi to meet him at the secret Jedi Orders base. Upon arrival however, Obi-wan is in shock. The base is destroyed, fallen jedi lie everywhere.

A fatally wounded jedi crawls towards Obi-wan from the wreckage, Obi-wan asks what happened.

He managed to say a single sentence before dying.

Obi-wan looks for survives but finds none. Checks his communication device and finds a new message from this "Jedi"

Obi-wan speeds to the location of the co-ordinates. The great pit of Carkoon. Home to the hungry Saarlac.

The shrouded figure is on a hover barge, and beckons Obi-wan to come aboard, Obi-wan does so.

Luke is unconscious from some kind of drug, but he is also dangling precariously over the pit. Obi-wan has had enough, who is this mad man?!

He reveals himself to be none other than Darth Maul! with cybernetic legs!

Maul gets the upper hand by kicking Obi-wan over the ledge, and Obi-wan is once again hanging off while Maul looks down at him with a clear advantage. Just like Phantom Menace.

Maul screams and goes berserk, Obi-wan cuts his arm off and force pushes him into the controls of the barge, the Barge is now falling into the pit of carkoon totally. Obi-wan jumps out just as saarlac is eating the whole barge and Maul is screaming in anger as he is eaten alive.

Obi-wan takes Luke back to Owen and Beru, Beru is greatful but Owen blames Obi-wan for Luke being taken at all, and demands Obi-wan stay away for Lukes own safety. Obi-wan leaves and is depressed over being the last jedi as far as he knows. Qui-gon appears as a force ghost and tells him he must have faith in the will of the force, and that a new hope will arise.

He walks off into the Tattooine sunset.

End credits.

The problem with Maul is they'd have to do a whole lot of exposition to explain how he got his legs and why Obi-Wan isn't surprised that he's still alive, considering they fought a few times in TCW. Disney has pretty much said that they're not going to change anything George made and they specifically listed TCW in that list along with the 6 movies.

If they can do it though I'd like to see it because the series ended before they could close that plot point out.

Compelling and sturdy base. There's the same problem being Maul's return and the lack of backstory to it. I personally haven't watched any of TCW and all I know about it is what I've read in that earlier anons guide. I would like to see it become a reality with some time spacing and perhaps some small scale stories about life on Tattooine. But after what Disney did with TFA I'm doubtful that they can make something good from this series.
