the original puppet from the original trilogy actually looks the best IMO.
not that guy but they don't have to use the actual puppet, just model it after it. It was clear they wanted to create a new better looking one and what they got was a shit puppet.
Why does Yaddle's puppet look so good? It's perfectly molded and shaped. The way the light hits the curves on the puppet, the way the hair looks realistic and soft. The loving gaze in her gorgeous eyes as she stares deep into your soul as if crying out PUT YOUR ENTIRE HAND INSIDE ME AND MAKE ME ALIVE.
Why couldn't they design the 1999 puppet to look EXACTLY LIKE THIS? Did they not have a fucking mold of the old one?
Did they not give a shit about consistency? Of all the changes Lucas made to the OT this and the walking Jabba scene piss me off the most. If it didn't look right why did they release it anyway? FUCK.
>Yoda puts on a retard act and talks like a retard just to fuck with Luke
>speaks normally once he gets serious
>prequels have him talking like a retard all the time, even in serious situations
>>Yoda puts on a retard act and talks like a retard just to fuck with Luke
>>speaks normally once he gets serious
He spoke the same the whole time from what I remember. He just lied about not being Yoda.
>I cannot teach him, the boy has no patience
>he is not ready
>a jedi must have the deepest commitment, a most serious mind
He goes in and out, but whenever Yoda got serious and wanted to drive home a point he spoke perfectly normal. The acting he displays in ESB was fantastic.
Muppet's are made out of roam rubber and glue. It rots and falls apart over time.
Why no one bothered to keep a master mold or something like that when Yoda is kind of iconic for Henson's creature shop is beyond me.
>this is the best puppet ever made
I would beg to differ.
>Muppet's are made out of roam rubber and glue. It rots and falls apart over time.
This is Hoggle from The Labyrinth 20 years later. It was even in storage, away from sunlight and moisture
the old ones look retarded which is why i dont rate the OT at all
prequels all the way
>drinking yaddlemilk without teat hair pulp
I seriously hope you guys don't do that.
>Did they not have a fucking mold of the old one?
Actually, Lucas saved the old puppet, and they were planing on using it in TPM, but it fell apart cause it was almost twenty years old. So Lucas told them to make a replica of it, whitch is were >>64595754 comes from. And for the other two prequels, they just said "fuck it" and used GCI since TPM puppet was so awful.
This is probably the only case where I would go with the CG version over the practical one.
The puppet was so awful. It was like a sock puppet you buy at some bootleg store. There's no reason for it to look that bad.
I've never ever been able to take a CGI person seriously. It always looks fake, the puppet is awkward looking but at least it doesn't make me think "this isn't really there" every time I look at it.
