Good movie, but just Tarantino ripping off good directors.

The entire format, which people somehow HAILED as original, jumping back to each character's story arc, is a ripoff of Stanley Kubrick's The Killing. The Dark Knight also ripped off this incredible 50s movie with the joker masks.

Ending is basically a ripoff of Martin Scorcese's Mean Streets, Harvey Keiltel, the best actor in both movies, is screaming and crying because of his friend getting shot and the cops showing up. Literally the exact same ending, only he doesn't get shot in Mean Streets.

I still like Reservoir Dogs, but it's very, very derivative. Jackie Brown is more original.

Hadn't noticed the resemblance to Mean Streets, probably because I didn't like it, but you're right. It's way too close not to be a direct reference.
