You're right.

Luke messed around with a force ghost that convinced him to resurrect it. Luke didn't learn until too late that the process was dark in nature. The entity latched onto a youngling at Lukes temple. The girl became very confused about her past so he mind wiped her the best he could and left her on Jakku until he could figure out how to reverse the process.

Shortly after Kylo murdered everyone at the temple, only Rey survived because she wasn't there. Luke went into hiding because he fucked up so bad with Ben and everything he worked for was gone.

Meanwhile Reven's spirit is within Rey and when she touches Anakins saber she gets mixed visions of Reven following the events of cloud city and seeing the murder at the temple.

Luke freaks out at the end of TFA because the girl he left is back somehow and she has his fathers lightsaber. That will mindfuck you, and he's not sure who he's dealing with yet, if the girl is still herself or Revan.

Eventually Rey must either succumb to the dark tendencies of Reven or purge her from herself.

100% Luke refuses to train her in Episode 8.

tl;dr, Kylo Ren is led to believe he killed all the padawans, but he tried to save them from Snoke.
Luke will tell him that he's been tricked into that suffering and pain on their next encounter. Kylo is then sent after Rey (after she spent some more time around Luke) but couldn't bring himself to kill her, so he dumped her on Jakku and its a secret he keeps from Snoke. Hux will use it against him.

Highly unlikely. Disney is trying to make him the new Vader for their new generation of Star Wars. They designed his mask to be iconic, and at this point his lightsaber might as well be an icon too. He's not going to be turning good until the last movie, and even then it'll probably just be a redemption and then death thing like Vader.

Rey is also probably not going to be going dark side. They're not turning their mary sue girlpower protagonist into an evil bitch.

I seriously doubt it, but all this canonization of KotOR shit like Taris, Rakta Prime, etc is suspect as fuck. They might mention is name or something

Rey still would be a terrible character. TFA's poor script and terrible characters will be criticized for decades. In a couple weeks it will be considered "at least as bad as The Phantom Menace" by the majority of those with half a brain.


The fact they might explain why she was so powerful she had secret training/she's the chosen one or try to gives us a twist she was the villain all along! doesn't make up the fact this first movie was terrible.

TFA did all this shit and is the highest grossing film right now. KOTOR would only be laughed out of theaters because TFA did it "first".

She may have been abandoned because she was a force user and some prophecy said that if Luke trained her she would kill him or go to the dark side. Turns out it was meant for Kylo.

The problem with Revan's character arc is that it was made for the extensive dialogue found in KOTOR. There's no way you would be able to recreate this in a cinematic context. It would require actors to practically nod at the camera when saying Revan's name, and people would only be interested once the major reveal happens (presumably towards the end).
